Smooth Negotiator!

Just thought I would share this screen shot of my Relations in the game I am currently running.

File is 200k if you have a slow connection.

This was just after the Dreng's took out the Alt's. The Alt's were friendly as well. All AI's are set to normal...

No I think I am going to try to buy peace for all of them and then see if I can ally with each and see if I can pull off an allied victory... I was very disappointed when the Alt's caved but they had a very poor start and only one planet in the NE corner. I kept them afloat as long as I could feeding them techs, money, ships and built starbases on resources... but in the end they surrendered to the Dreng... One good thing is the Dreng destroyed all the bases so I have been able to reclaim them.

Another disappointing thing happened after I submitted that image is that the Arean Capital flipped to me last night... They are down to two planets now...

Thanks for looking,

OK so this does pose a question in my mind... Has anyone pulled off a six way allied victory? Or how about is it possible to have an allied victory with a good and an evil? Like I said I am going to try to do a five way since the Alt's are gone. :( The trouble I have now is that the Acrean planets are flipping like hotcakes. I hope they can hold out long enough to be around at the end. But none the less for the experiments sake as long as the Deng/Yor and Tor's are around that would let me know if you could unite good and evil.

try building a culture starbase in the appropriate sector, add some culture mods and gift it to them if you dont want them to flip.

Yes Sir I have eight constructors headed their way but what I am afraid of is the rate that their planets are flipping I may not make it there in time. The planets have been flipping every other turn at most. So I think it was four planets in 6 turns. I mean i know I am good looking and just down right sexah but please!

LOL

Guess I will find out how this turns out in a couple hours when I make it home and get some food.

Jaws: I think I saved them but not before two more flipped... They are stuck with two planets. When my constructor fleet arrived just outside the sector the Acrean capital was in it had the unhappy face on it as it was in a sector controlled by me. I zoomed the flrrt in and quickly built the base with cultural adds and gave it to them. I hope it moved the sector control back to yello... Have to wait and see as I didn't get to play much. My evil sofa seduced me into about 12 hours of sleep!!!

Oldgamster,

It seems to me that the Fellowship ran a game of the month this summer where the intent was to not kill anyone unless absolutely necessary and every alliance therefore earned points.

You might want to do a search on game of the month, or ask Ray or Vincible.

It was an interesting concept...

Thanks to you both... But I have ran into a problem. seems I can't ally with anyone. I have the tech and have given it to all of the races. None are allied and I am the only one with trade routes going between the majors. and when I go into my trade screen alliance isn't an option! Trying to figure out what I am missing.

Are they all at "close" relations? That is THE (other than the tech) prerequisite for alliance.

By the way, oldgamster, RB was a great choice for you for an empire. You'll fit in well there!LOL

Thanks AmulekBird. I did some reading and watching and I like what RB has going for them... Seems that they are into integrity and I like that...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On a different note I am not happy with the way this game turned out.
I did build starbases with only one base being an extender to get to a resource That was under no ones influence. All my bases were built in my influence or the sector was not under any color. All I added to them was mining adds that only mined the resource and defensive adds up to lightning.
My goal was to get all wars ended and have all the majors left ally with me. Well the Yor had their eproms burnt in on "FRIENDLY". I practically gave them all my home electronix, even my mothers Electrolux vacuum cleaner.... Thought it would be handy since this was a space opra game and there is lots of vacuum we are all treapsing through. LOL Well they would never get close to me. Maybe I need some of that new after shave 'Fresh Solder' or something. Anyways before I knew it the game ended with a cultural win. >:(
Oh well next time!!! ;)
If the Yor were pure evil and you were pure good or vice versa (I don't know if you had said so or not), I don't think even giving them your firstborn will bring them close. I hope you succeed next time around.
oldgamster! Thought you might appreciate someone else’s screenshot. http://hometown.aol.com/andyt54321/images/screenshot2.jpg Notice how much my fellow civilizations love me. Two are like close relatives, two are good friends, and the Drengin are all warm and fuzzy. :)
Sadly, it’s time for them to die. I shall begin by wiping out the space apes because they’re just not friendly enough. I’ll gain their two systems and prepare for a grand campaign of backstabbing. Hmmm... why don’t I summarize the fate of the other civilizations.
The Arceans gave up and were absorbed by my greatness. An unfortunate event.
The Drengin, those that survive my invasion, will also live under my greatness. It’s good to go down fighting.
The Korx gave up and surrendered to the Yor. Not so wise.
The Altarians, Drath, Torians, and Yor will all be obliterated by terror star stikes. They are soooooo darn lucky, aren’t they? LOL ;)
And notice at the bottom the song I have playing. MWAHAHAHA!!!
