Game quit on me

I was playing a small universe game when it quit . and went back to the desktop. Do you want me to send you the last auto saves?

If you can reproduce it from the autosaves, yes. You may also want to install SmartException from StardockCentral and have it running while you play Gal Civ. It will create a file named galciv.exe.cra when GalCiv crashes with debug info for me.

I had my first ctd with the new patch also. I have played this game since it came out and this was the first ctd I have ever had. I have a p4 3 gig, radeon 9800, sb audigy.

i have had a few ctds while saving but it doesnt do that anymore, so whatever i did, it fixed it

do you have a save game that reproduces the crash? Do you remember what you were doing when the crash happened?

I have not played another turn since the crash, so I could send you the autosave. I was clicking on one of the boxes at the bottom of the primary screen, empire summary I believe, when it crashed. Tell me what file you want and where to send it and it is yours. I do have my own star system names instead of default ones, but do not see how that could cause the crash. I have played with my own star system names before and never had a problem.
