metaverse score screwed up?

Alright, by my calculations (which could be wrong) my metaverse score should be 61,493. It's a few thousand points less though. It shows 57,172 points in the metaverse and 56,841 in my profile. The formula for the scoring is Metaverse score = Total Score / sqrt of # of games played per month.. Right? Each month for 6 mo's the original score degrades by 5%? I think. For example my last months score from Jan. 31 to Feb 29 which = 47,051 degrades by 5% per month for 6 months. So beginning this month my score was 44,698? Each month the whole metaverse scoring thing begins from scratch right?

So my two games from today with scores of 11,980 + 11,772 = 23,752/sqrt of 2 (1.4142) = 16,795. 16,795 is then added on to my last months score of 44,698 which should = 61,493, right?

Am I missing a calculation or did somethin' get messed up somewhere else? Any help or answers will be much appreciated, thanks. ;)

It's not a calendar month, it works backwards in blocks of 30 days from your last submission or when Stardock decide to do a recalc.

Block 1 0-30 days 100%
Block 2 31-60 days 95%
Block 3 61-90 days 90%
Block 4 91-120 days 85%
Block 5 121-150 days 80%
Block 6 151-220 days 75%
Block 7 221-290 days 70%
Beyond 290 days 65%?

Hope this helps

That helps 'cause now I know how that goes but that doesn't change my calculations at all. Is there some other part I'm messing up on? Or is it a Metaverse mess up?

The metaverse and your profile should be the same. However there is an underlying problem at the moment with the scoring system that for some reasin means the scores differ. Stardock do know about it but it is a bug that is very far down a very long list.

Hope that helps :)

End of quote

You calculations would change.. because you first block would be your scores from March 2nd to Feb 1st
and your 2nd block would be anyscores before that

I think why people get confused by the Metaverse scoring is that:

Block 1 0-30 days

is actually a 31 day block not 30 if you include day 0 (today) as one of the days.

A 30 day block would actually be 0-29 days old. My calculations are exactly the same as the Metaverse if the 1st block is 31 days including the current date.
