Colony Ship Question

I have a colony ship and there's no where left to send it to colonise.... ;-(
How do I go about unloading the colonists on to one of my current planets before disbanding it?
Thanks

park it in orbit aroun the planet you wish to off-load the colonists too. Then just right click on the planet of your choice. The colonists will be transferred to the planet and the colony ship disbanded.

Come to the Senate Halls forums and talk about galciv with other gamers. The Senate Halls - Provided by the Diplomats.

I must be missing something....
I park the ship over one of my planets then click the disband button, the ship disbands but the plant pop figure does not change?
What am I doing wrong.
I'm currently playing the first scenario in the AP Campaign
Thanks

Don't disband using the button. Move the ship into orbit just like you were going to colonize a new planet. Pick the planet you want and the colonists will land on the planet and the ship will disappear.

How do you get the colony-ship into the orbit of the planet without forcing the people to leave it? I cant' even recreate what you are trying to avoid.

Whenever I send a Colony-Ship to a System it asks me where to put the pop on. If I don't select any planet it pops out of the system again.

you cant :notsure: What Aaragorn is talking about is unloading colonists on an already populated colony. Not, as i suspect, around an empty planet as you are talking about.

Thanks Mindshock, I guess that means if you build a colony ship and run out of planets to actually "colonise" then you've wasted the pop on the ship.

It does seem a bit strange that you can't just transfer them to a planet you already own?
Thanks though

Aaragorn, what Mindshock means is when you send the colonyship to the star with the planet you already own, it should show the colonyship in orbit around it. Then move your mouse over the planet you want to put them on, even if there are colonists on it. The ship should appear to the lower left hand corner of the planet. Then click it as if you were colonizing a new world. I hope that helps. :)

AP Campaign: It's the new Pay for Play Expansion that will be shipping to the public in April. It is named the Altarian Prophecy. It includes allowing users to create and play campaigns, and comes with at least one campaign created by SD... the Altarian Prophecy campaign.

If you pre-order the game, SD will send you your serial number, and you can download the *beta* (still in development) version of AP. You can download it via SDC (Star Dock Central) following instructions posted on the GalCiv web site.

I hope this answers all of your questions. If you have any more, please feel free to ask them. This place is a great community and there are always people willing to help out as best they can.

is there a "campagne" in french in this game
End of quote

I fear that we won't see soon the french version of Altarian Prophecy: the english version is will be distributed only through Internet.
And I not sure that the french sales where good enough (due to the need of a patch to have a playable game) for Nobilis (who distribute french version of Stragegy First games) to think about the expansion.

Anyway, since the biggest file to translate is english.str which is part of the standard Galciv, ordering the english version and translating the new files shouldn't be a problem.
It is more difficult to play french version of standard Galicv since almost every update have a new english.str

I have written my response in english, in order that everyone could see in what trouble we are to play the french version, but if you prefer Philippe, I can use french when responding to you :)
