Are some minor races immune to cultural flipping?

I can never seems to flip fundamentalists, scottlings, or the carotids(sp). Is there a reason these races are immune to flipping? I can't see making minor races harder than major races to flip.

Of the starting minors, only the Alexians will easily flip - the others have huge loyalty bonuses and won't flip until very late in the game when you have huge influence bonuses. It is done this way to prevent them flipping too soon and making you or another AI too strong too early.

Not sure about the fundies, but I would imagine they would have even higher loyalty bonuses by their very nature.

In the new AP I have seen many of them flip rather quick, depends how many planets of the AIs are around them. But I have seen some minors last until the year 2188, so that is pretty long and they ended by been conquered so maybe some of them stay longer, all depends on the circunstances and location. ;)

Xietor 11 your name sounds like the galactic pirate so why don't you come and join GROSS pirate empire here is the link http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=272

The minors universally have some degree of Loyalty, and their planets usually have their own local sources of culture resist.

I've had games where either the I-league or the Fundies were around for 100+ years. Yes, I've had games run on past 2280. Some mods almost require it to build anything (one of the early mods, for example, had a few 'alternate universe' style techs and one of the wonders from that tech required over 60 turns to build on a class 1318 planet while running 100% social production... :SURPRISED: )

And what was your Social Spending (not rate, points)? And how many worlds did you have? if you are spending 200 BC on Social, but have 10 planets, each planet on gets 20 BC a turn. Then you get your production bonuses on that... even at 800%, that is only 20+160 or so BC. Less then 200 BC a turn, for instance...

Sometimes, it's better to have fewer worlds, if you want to build well.
