SVG to PNG

A free tool?

Does someone know about a free tool to create .png files from SVG? I use incscape to create my icons, but the export bitmap function always removes the anti-aliasing somehow - after which the resulting icon sucks... I need either a tool that does it better, or a hint to make incscape do it nicely... Thanks!

Inkscape (open source) says it will export to png. Might be worth a shot.

Um, he said he uses Inkscape to make and export his icons. He is looking for something that will do it with better anti-aliasing.

Sodipdi crashes when calling the svg2png routine. I have no idea why...

Actually I think you need to update something to make that work. I forgot what, however. Maybe it's runtime files?

Sodipodi gives me all sorts of fits. At one point I had it working properly. But I reinstalled yesterday to see if it would do the trick and it just wouldn't even start up for me. Grrr.

Um, he said he uses Inkscape

I use incscape

I don't use them so I didn't know they were the same, especially when a search finds both versions of the spelling. I figured what with trademarks and copyrights and all they were different.
