Question To All Galactic Cilization Players

Him I am Ryan Zec, Head Designer for Enternal Productions, and I am in the process of designing a new game for Enternal Productions. The game will be a Space Strategy game (Turn-based most likely) and will involve 2 major long campgians (which I dont seem to find any in this type of game). What I would like to do is get information from players who like these types of games. What I am asking for you is that I would like some features you would like see in this type of game. I would like as many as I can becuase I want this game to be the best for you and the more you put in the better this game will be. Thank you for your time.

Umh, well I think HercMighty is correct in which case it seems OK for you to innocently ask such things. OTH If you are an adult what the hell possesses you to post on another game companies message board asking such questions?

I think you should stop spamming other company's message boards, trying to rip off their product and steal their customers

Just make a poll on a webpage of yours and link to it then.

Yep, definitely 13.

Or, at least, with the intelligence of a 13 year old.

Ryan Zec, I can't believe you are making a game and still somehow misspelled "because" twice.I'm not being picky just wonder how many bugs be in your so call game when you typing as bad as mine.

look, if you want responses, just say that you are a college or university student. say that your are making a freeware game for a school project, or to simply test your programmin skills that you learned.

asking what to put in the game is too broad of a question too, almost impossible to get people interested in answering it since there is so many things to type. narrow your question down a bit.

This will be interesting. ;)

How about giving us a background on your "company" and some of the storyline of your upcoming game?

Never mind that with a bit of effort that many game improvement suggestion threads can be found. Just got to be willing to dig through the stack. There are probably enough suggestions, complaints, and bug reports to fill up a filing cabinet if they were printed out.

But it looks like we got a programmer at the very beginning stages of a project. Here is how you do it properly: make a very primitive copy of your game with your ideas of what is good or not. Post links to your website so that people can download the alpha copies and try it out. They freely tell you on your own forum what sucks and what does not. You revise the primitive version several times while getting feedback all the while. One day it gets refined enough to beta. That becomes your free demo version. More feedback and more refinement. Final copy released on the internet that people have to pay to get. Revisions and refinements continue. Start work on sequel(s). There you go. There's the gameplan.

Coming up with grand ideas and features may be fun.

Specifying them in the unambiguous level of precision and detail necessary to implement them sanely without undesired complications, however, is a substantial amount of work not to be taken lightly.
