massive casualties bug

Just had a pyrrhic victory 
. Sol got invaded. My 7.5 billion troops were totally swamped by the 0.179 bil troops to the extent that I took:
4294967500 bil casualties
Now I would consider that to be a tad unusual
I remember reading that this occurred in earlier versions, so it looks like it is still hanging around.
unfortunately I was not able to reproduce it on re-starting.. so the save game is useless. Any one else still getting this?
