Game crashing

Hello all,

I have Gal Civ (with the newest patch) but have been experiencing random drops to the desktop lately. They come without warning, and do not leave an error message.

I have SmartException installed, and this program seems to hang as well when the game quits.

Any suggestions?

My specs:

Win XP Home (with all the latest patches)
AMD 1.0 Gig
GeForce II MX 32 Meg
Hercules Fortissimo II Sound Card
700+ MG RAM

I have the same random drops to desktop. Particularly if I don't move any ships in a turn for several turns. Or if the AI moves a lot of ships. :|

Wraith10 I suggest you get yourself smart exception it gives the progrmmers the necessary information to correct these bugs.

rcorporon: How do you noticed that smartexception "hangs"? I suggest strongly that you post your problems at the thread at the top of this board.
You will notice that Cari and other programmers pass by regulary... (When I posted a bug Stardock even wrote an E_MAil kindly requesting the exception log, I wish all the other companies are as dedicated as stardock)

The program quits when GalCiv hangs... so it cannot create a log file for me to send.

I'll try posting at the top thread.

I wasn't having that problem until I started playing the gigantic galaxy. NOw I save my game every so often so I don't lose too much when my game quits on me.

I'm playing on a galaxy size smaller than Gigantic (The one up from the default setting I believe... Large perhaps?)
