IconPackager problem - .txt file icon won't change

This is really weird...for a while now, whenever I apply a new IconPackager package, the .txt icon never changes. But it's not the default Windows icon, it's the .txt icon from the Overbyte icon package. I've tried repairing/rebuilding/refreshing and lots of other re-----ing things invovling my icon cache etc. It just won't change. Also, it's not the full resolution version, but it seems to be a 16x16 version of the icon (I have my icons set to 64x64). I tried restoring my icons and it went back to the default XP icon, but as soon as I applied a pack it went back to the Overbyte text icon.

I have IconPackager 3 by the way. Thanks for any advice people might have.

Oh, you've had this problem too?

I go to Help->About IconPackager and it says 3.00. How can I find out a more specific version number?

Shareware version? I'm using the registered. The problems I had (and others) may not apply to that version.
Had you tried uninstalling and reinstalling after restoring back to XP default?

I purchased the Object Desktop packaged and loaded the Windowblinds 5, Cursor XP, and stardock. But when I installed the Icon Packager and then rebooted my system the screen turned white, no task bar or anything. I had to do a system restore to get things back to normal. I emailed the problem with the tech support with screen shots of my system and information on my components but I have not heard back from them. Does anyone know what the problem could be and wether the tech support is really supportive?

I for one, have had no problems with support.
keep the email they sent you. it has instructions on how to follow up if you don't get a support reply.
