Compress more with winzip¿?

My oncle installed in his computer a special winzip, i saw it and said that it hasnt nothing especial, but he compressed a file of 40 mb and the result of the compress was in size 4 mb .. i throught it was imposible! but i do it a lot of time again and.. with differents files and all the results was in a comrpession of 90 porcent..
I ask if one of yours know about this special winzip or a special patch or comfiguration that makes this possible.. Plz i need help .. thanks

Could be 7-zip. I think their own algorithm claims to be 40 or 50% more effective than Winzip. Link

Zipped 'size reduction' is more often dependent on the type of file/s being zipped...eg, a quick look in a WB 'archive' and the bmps are anywhere from 65 to 99% compressed...

If you try to compress files like JPEG, PNG, MPEG and such which is media files that compresses it's size by it self zipping it won't have much effect.

one think is compress a type of specific file, another thing is compressing a .exe that have 40 mb in 4 mb Lol.. jejeje my uncle said that it was a special winzip.. he knews that it will comrpess that lot!!!
