lost in space.

lost in space.

Take one (1) survey ship. Have it auto-survey. It enters a wormhole and shows up way the hell across the galaxy. If you try to move it manually, or target it anywhere, you get the "you can't travel that far" message.

But it can still move by itself if you turn auto-survey back on.

Sorry, but I don't like the idea of the senate taking that much control away from me. After all, I am the one that is supposed to be in control of the strategy for winning the game. As it is intended (I have yet to see it), the senate is supposed to be able to override you on only some of the more negative things, like declaring war. It should NEVER, NEVER, be able to declare war on its own.

I agree with Lucky Jack. Heck, the AI has five civilizations to play already - can't I at least have the fate of my cicvilization in my hands?

That said, I could envision some sort of effect of losing political control by adding events. For example, immediately before an election, the War Party migh say to you, "You don't have the political support to win this election. We will go in a coallition with you and let you keep your +20% bonus, but only if you attack the Drengins." Then it's your choice on how to react to that.
