Regardless of what the modder was able to do in a short time, there is a time and effort cost to GPGs development team to add this. Not only the development cost, but what about the testing? While I'm not familiar with the code behind Demigod, I have done enough programming on other projects to think of a few ways that this feature could fail in a production environment. Does the warp animation always play for each Demigod? What happens to the animation when several Demi
There is talk that items will be balanced in such a way that the 5v2 will be playable in a vets vs n00bs sort of way.
I think Stardock's Beta process is a fine method, but I don't think the goal of the primitive forms should be to be "unfun". If you're intentionally stripping the potential for enjoyment out of your game for the sake of calling it a beta, then you're intentionally making the process unnecessary tedium for your testers.
The problem with that is if you make it too fun too early, people will focus on the fun and
There is a radical train of thought that I subscribe to. Until I know what is going to be offered, I don't panic over it. Do you honestly thing that GPG is staffed with n00bs that create items and systems via a dartboard? Have some faith in them, and when the knowledge becomes available, then evaluate and provide appropriate feedback.
On an other note can you give some information about the upcomming demigods? (we only have the concept pictures afaik)
Wha... ?? WHERE?!?
I use Cloak of Night nearly all of the time.
From what they're talking about for the Elemental beta I highly doubt that things are going to change. This is the way they do betas, and I fully expect that this is how they'll continue to do them.
You need to re-select them each game, but the "cost" is spent only once.
I've seen this happening a couple times now. If a Demigod near the Artifact Shop or the Cooldown flag decides to retreat, it moves to the gap close to their home base and tries to walk across it, rather then going the long way around. In an semi-related note, minions in Crucible moving from the Artifact shop towards the main lain still can get stuck.
Loving it! Keep 'em coming!
Good stuff. Rewatched the old trailer, and I still enjoy it. Don't see why you'd think it is embarassing. My favorite line remains "I'm more a merchant then I am a solder, but the choice is not always mine to make."
Nifty. Now I get to go through all the threads I started and see if I need to report anything as fixed. :)
Might just be a holdover from their engine testing.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Got one more for you. :) http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/search/player/ravebomb The fifth column is "Skirmish Rank" Not sure if that is intended to be a Custom Game rank or not. And the "press enter to search" works in Firefox.
I'm nearly 100% sure that the stats are off. Teething problems and all that...
Ok, last one, promise.. For these pages: http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/tournaments/8/ In the upper right side, would it be possible to add my own ranking in that tournament, if I was playing in it? It's a bit cumbersome to have to dig for my numbers. That way you'd see the overall tourny info, the top spots and then your spot in the tourny all in one place.
It's been updated! Here's the change log: - Renamed all instances of "Skirmish" to "Custom Games" (let me know if you find any I missed).
http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/rankings/skirmish/ Top of the page says: "Player Rankings - Skirmish" The roll over text for the Custom Games tab is wrong as well. <a href="
Couple minor text issues. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/tournaments/8/ http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/tournaments/ Should be the same, however, the date format for the start date changes, and on one page it's the "Forces of Dark" the ot
At least I got chicken. I like the Onixa raid one as well. THROW MORE DOTS!
I'm finding that there is something a little screwy with the "Select Minion" and "Select Demigod and Minion" buttons. If you click the center of the button it had the desired effect, however, if you click closer to the border of the button graphic, you may only get the Demigod, rather then the desired selection.
Heh, I was just coming to ask the same question as TheBigOne. Interesting update. EDIT: Ok, now I'm really curious about the experience calculation. I'm currently ranked #354 in the current pantheon. I have (at the time of this writing) a 37/2 win/loss record. I've accumulated 3,555 favor points. Yet this only yields 992 experience. Yet the top player has less favor points, less wins, more losses and nearly double the experien
In a pair of games I changed my AA settings from 2x to 4x to see if I noticed a difference. The only thing I did notice was that the ability range circles vanished. WinXP SP3 8800GT 512 MB w/ 182.06 drivers
Fixed? It's not there! He lies! OMG! Lies lies lies! Nothing but lies! [e digicons]XO[/e] Ok, now that that's out of my system, please don't ban me. [e digicons]:D[/e] EDIT: Bah now back. Should have ranted 35 minutes ago.
I've just looked back at my game details as well and I also see everybody being on the light side. I don't recall anything weird happening in regards to abnormal game endings. Just click panthion, play, end, return to menu, repeat.
