Hello diephoenix, WindowBlinds can skin that selection, it was always possible, since Vista era, maybe the skins you tried didn't have the right graphics set? Here is a video of one skin with the selection skinned, notice that the hover state for non elected items is grey and the selected one is blue. Video: https://dl.dropboxus

Congratulatios!
Right now it's not possible to skin these two parts, the ribbon area and the new status bar, probably we'll be able to skin that in the near future.

MCMXC2, You can't only add the values, you need to set the graphics too, did you try that?
There will be one soon :)
That's looking like a Caption height issue, from the skin code, the Caption height may not be matching the height of the titlebar graphic and if there the skin is older maybe it doesn't even have the "Frame Top Maximized" image, then the skin will use the regular top image, which could reinforce that problem. Another thing that skinner should keep in mind is that you should not set Top and Bottom sizing margins for the Caption frame, only Left and Right. <p
Nice! Sounds like it will be fun and the prizes are really good :)
... Up ? Here is what I mean : How to custom all the explorer like it was possible on XP ? Thanks...
CManatee, Starting from Vista, Explorer changed radically but even now you can still customize those areas you want. The left side is under Folders bar section and the right side bar under Explorer backgrounds > right hand side on SkinStudio
Hiedran, When I said that the skins and its settings are save din the Public Documents, its settings include the color and transparency settings too. When you add a custom color, transparency or texture setting, they will be saved in the skin folder with the extension .WBO7 If the presets bother you when they appear in anoth
To speed you up the link from DPCloud... https://forums.wincustomize.com/445909/page/1/ Look the item : Transparency Adjustments
Hello Hiedran, That's probably because the skins and its settings are located and saved in the "Public Documents" folder, not in user specific ones. Like this: "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds" And all users have access to the Public Documents. Regards, Dani
I'm glad you like the skin :) About the issueI will talk to Neil and see if there is something we can do to find what is causing the issue cause if the taskbar is ok when you reload the skin, it should be ok when you boot up too.
Happy birthday Mr Frogboy! [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
Hi splitspirit, Does that happen if you load another, more newer skin? Could you try applying the skin called Echo that ships with WB and reboot, then see if the taskbar skin ok? I would try that cause as I see in your screenshot you where using a very old and now outdated skin.
It's not possible to get semi-transparency there, not right now, as I said on reply 3, the image is just a placebo that triggers the color setting, "you still need to set a graphic to make the section active, but the color in the "Extra settings" tab that will define what you see."
hey 2of3, Yes, you still need to set a graphic to make the section active, but the color in the "Extra settings" tab that will define what you see.
Hi nazcalito, You can easily change the settings you want to in these location with SkinStudio. • Caption height (this will affect per-pixel and old UIS2 frames): <img src="https://d2oawfjgoy88bd.cloudfront.net/51c4b8efe4b08f2a99fafac1/51c4b907e4b08f2a99fafada/51c50d83e4b06bfd942a0ae9.png?Expires=2147483647&Signature=easJlMQy1G~C-4cXJxCyM4uqIk3yMAcgA81tp4eWkH0NkJIGg9ybFDTRx65Z1HYqqSGdxt5c4jcbrpzybsfj19-8N6YO-A8qpxhxcR5gv3-gu~lhYUF
That's very kind of you, Tim.
Hi there xxinightxx, Right now it's not possible to change the ribbon top bar and the explorer statusbar from Windows 8, but I believe we'll be able to on the future, some bits are just harder to get into skinning, mostly because they are totally new, but like in previous versions of WB against new OSs, more goodies always c

One important thing to consider when using Win7 skins is that the ones with semi-transparent areas that looks well, may not look as good in Win8 because there is no blur in Windows 8 (ATM) so skinners may want to update their skins with less transparency to compensate the lack of blur. One easy alternative for non-skinners and skinners that want a fast solution, you can use the "Transparency" settings from WindowBlinds 8 (Colour > Transparency
