You might need to refresh your Windows Experience Index. Right click Computer and go properties. Then click Windows Experience Index, should be self explanatory from there. This is odd, though. I have that same exact laptop and use Object Desktop on it with no problems at all.

I voted laptop since that is what I use 99% of the time right now since I'm in college. A laptop is far more useful in college than a desktop in my opinion. If I wasn't in college, I'd much rather build myself a gaming machine and just use it for everything including the gaming.

Up until this update, whenever I'd download a new cursor set, it'd install it and ask me if I want to apply right away. Now it just installs and applies anyway without asking like CursorXP did. Why??? Being asked whether I want the new cursor applied was actually one of the best simple new features of CursorFX that I liked.

The issue that I have with CursorFX is that the cursors tend to move across the screen a little choppy at times almost as if there were some program running on my computer eating up all of my resources which is not true. This just doesn't seem acceptable on a laptop with a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 3GB of RAM, and a 256MB GeForce 8600M GT video card. I notice that the choppiness tends to happen more when there are more animated parts of a WindowBlinds skin on screen. Or when my computer is processing a

I voted no mostly because I think they're kind of unnecessary nowadays. A CD collection was great back in the day when many people were on dial-up, but now so many people are on high-speed internet that it isn't hard or time consuming to just download the skins you want from the website.

Anyone remember the "mud" skin that came out in the WB3 days? Of course it's a little new for this article, probably suited for the next one, but I'm still wondering... It was a green glass type of skin with silver/gray parts to it. It's no longer on the website as I think it got lost in that Wincustomize server crash that happened a while back and was never recovered.

But will it organize folders on my computer according to metadata tags? That's one feature I practically cannot live without nowadays and is the reason why I stay with MediaMonkey. Yeah, there have been plenty of times that I've thought this. I really like using different skins on WindowBlinds for a different look but there are times where decide to switch to Windows Classic because it just seems cleaner. I don't care how little resources WindowBlinds uses, Windows Classic, Luna on XP, and Aero on Vista still feel faster at times.

For some reason, I still can't get the darn thing to activate. I keep trying, God knows. I ran up to the activation limit, Stardock kindly reset for me, and now I've hit the limit again. When I install, I get to see the wonders of WB6, but hitting "apply" gets me nowhere. Such frustration. Back to old reliable WB5 now. Not so fast! This happened to me too. I'm running Vista and I just set it to Windows Classic and then tried applying a WindowBlinds skin

Well if Microsoft gets themselves in gear, they could probably pull off a release in 2010. Look at how Windows OSes used to come out.
