By the way good work on the proxy update, I can now connect to every-and-any-one. Thanks! Had a 5v5 going earler. Unfortunatley several players dropped before the game was really started, but it is progress. Getting a 2v2 or 3v3 going is much quicker and easier now. :)
Ciber
I've had the same thing. Pantheon and skirmish are a little bit broken by this.

It is true that a couple of lucky or clever kills or unlucky/stupid deaths early in the game can pretty much decide the outcome, so if you've alreay lost, why stay?
My ADSL2+ 'up to' 24 meg. Is this good enough to do '/localproxy' when combined with a core i7 CPU?
I'm one of the people that can connect to most but not to a few. Maybe it would be an idea to survey those with this connection issue and try and isolate a factor that could be the cause? You probably already thought of that though! My ISP Be/O2, I'm on ADSL2+ and my modem/router is a Bebox / Thompson Speedtouch 585. No firewalls except the windows firewall. Windows XP. I really hope these proxies will fix it, as it is a pain at the moment to get a game going by av
I'd like to join a gaming community for DG as well! :) How old are you? 36 What gaming experience do you have?/How often will you play during a week? I've been plaing games on a PC for about 16 years, online since quake 2. I've played MMOs such as Planetside and EVE and been in clans before for other gam
Most players I can connect to fine and connections are quicker. However some players I just can't connect to at all despite repeated attempts.
Put in a "Surrender" Option at the Citadel or within the Menu.. if the hole Team thinks "ok weve lost the game so lets surrender" its ok... game stops like the citadel is destroyed for example. That could stop ragequiting too because right now a lot of ppl just stand behind their citadel watching the enemy how they destroy their base without any problems.. but that takes up to 10 minutes till it happen... with the surrender option the team can "quit
Unfortunatley it's no better for me.
Heres my experience. Straight after installing the beta patch things seemed to be working well. I got into a 4v4 custom game quite quickly and easily and the game went well noone dropped and favour seemed to be working, as I had a sensible amount of favour like 420 and I could buy a swift anklet. Possibly 2 games went well like this I can't remember exactly as time goes fast when you're having fun! At the end of a game though there was a long delay before the final scores came up as desc
Don't just disable, uninstall those extra firewalls and AV! Having AV running in the background will lag your game, it's that simple. Try to disable your AV from starting when you start your PC and just use it to scan once a week or even once a month. You could uninstall AV and just install it periodically to check for threats.
First of all I would suggest turning all your graphics settings in the game to low. Try that and see if it helps. Also try to shut down every process you don't need before starting the game. Instant messengers such as AIM in the background will definitely lag your game. As for dual monitor. Yes I believe dual monitor setups multiply the work your graphics card must do and will make any full screen game unplayable.
1) You have been disconnected because the NAT has failed. There appears to be a logic error in the new connectivity system. If you fail to connect to someone who enters the lobby, you won’t connect to anyone subsequently. This is basically a case of a very late night if/then logic needing to be tweaked.
I'm geting this alot this evening. In fact I would say I'm finding it harder to get a game going than before moving to the latest beta. At lea
LOL at no 4. Not played qot so I've not heard that yet! The light bolt is a pretty picture the towers hit you individually. War score accumulates by controlling the Flags. :)
It does feel a bit beta-ish when trying to connect to a multiplayer game. However the game itself is great and it looks like they are working day and night to get it working better.
W00t! Can't wait to get home from work and try this :)
Q: What can I expect this weekend? A: If you are willing to try the beta versions, we expect to release build 111 of the EXE along with our connectivity updates. If you prefer the released version, we expect to release just the connectivity update. Q: What should my expectations be of the connectivity update? A: We’ve had to scale them back a little bit. We had a huge breakthru last weekend but the time to take us
It only happens in MP for me. I haven't checked the fps but sometimes there is stuttering in large MP games. I'm thinking it is to do with other players comps having slowdown. I hope it is, as if a fairly high end PC struggles with the game it must be worse for most PCs.
It works for me I changed it in the impulse application and it changed within 24h. :)
Yes this needs fixing please.
I've noticed this as well on my core i7 rig. Could be that other people are lagging the game.
Personally I don't think you should lose xp for dieing. If you are unlucky and get killed once you are then nerfed in level ready to lose the next fight! Can be pretty demoralising. You don't lose XP.
No? I read that you do. You definitely don't get any trickle of xp when dead like you do from just standing around. Maybe you should still get the trickle.
Two things: First it's the exp penalty in part that means you can't come back after starting to lose, as all your team will be down on levels and gold after dieing a few times and you have no chance to fight off the other sides DGs. Second, it would be nice to be able to surrender when you've had enough. You team would vote on it and then the game would end and the scores and favour be awarded with no penaly for surrendering. A surrender vote would be automatically be initiate
