Just a very minor thing to point out. When you click on a Demigod, their image changes to a bigger one, but the smaller one is still behind it, so that when you move your cursor over that one again, you can sometimes see the small bits that stick out since all of the images aren't plain, square boxes. I think that it would work to just hide the images behind the main one when it is selected and disable the one that shows when you hover your cursor over it. <img src="http://i185.photob
its not the engine which is laggy in supcom, its just the setting of net_lag 500, if you reduce that setting to 20 for lan play it plays nearly as smooth as starcraft and same is true for Demigod.
Now that is extremely useful. Thanks kindly, TBO!
Go for it ^_^ Me got lazy =P
I think that the file that is use is the Granny 3D file (GR2). You can use the Granny Model Viewer to see the models and animations, but I am getting scared seeing no exporters for 3DS Max >.
Oh yeah. I totally planned to do that, but then totally forgot, so thanks. Will get that up soon.
I have just made a list of the items in the game here . Don't ask why I waste my time on things like this =P
My modding experience. =P If you have modded Supreme Commander, you will find things very similar and easy to work through. You can already add maps/demigods/units, although I have yet to figure out how to do the terrain for the maps. Me is happy ^_^
Err, sorry, I meant the MPEG-2 Demultiplexer, along with the MPEG-2 Splitter.
Oh, it seems some things (upon hitting refresh) don't actually stay disabled, and Microsoft MPEG-2 Video Decoder is one of those things. Is there a way that I can get it to stay disabled?
I am trying to see where my error comes from (Team Fortess 2 video intro while a Dream is running) so I am trying to use InstalledCodec to test. The problem is that even when I disable all of the codecs listed, all of the dreams still play. I know that I was installing multiple codecs and things in order to get the Dreams to work initially, so I am wondering if I have to somehow first stop the DeskScape process before the disabled codec takes effect, or if that maybe it is running on som
Wonderful news! Thank you very much for clearing this up.
According to this article , we get: In a game based on a Warcraft 3 mod, it's a little surprising, though not crushing, to learn that Demigod will not be moddable for online play. The lack of mods does seem to fit with the overall concept of the game--provide a focused, polished version of DotA for the masses. Is this just an assumption made, a mis-interpretation, or a full out confirmation o
I have always loved playing survival-type games with other people, and I hope that it makes its way into this game. If custom maps are possible, then I wouldn't worry about it, but I wouldn't expect GPG to do something like this until they have enough of the balance done for the regular gameplay (which will likely be a lot).
When it was announced day 1 in the SupCom forums. ^_^
Thanks for the link! The fog seems real neat, and it is nice to see the interface, commands going through, etc.
Sounded like it went really well. How many pre-orders did you sell just at PAX?
Oh, and a question. Do you know if the "8 demigods at release" is going to be the beta release or the retail release?
Thanks for all of the information! That is probably going to be the best non-video hands on that we get.
It was just talked about here and there. http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?p=382476#382476 I am all for it as long as long as things are balanced correctly.

I think they said that they would support custom stuff (such as skins) later on, but don't quote me on that. You will get the registration number through your e-mail when the beta releases.
It is just the staff and cape being visually messed up by the frost effects.
Umm, I am pretty sure that movement is just through clicking, not the WASD keys. Hopefully all of the key binds will be changeable .
Arg, wish I could just edit that post >.< As I was saying, it looks like an angel's wings, but it just looks that way from the visual effect of the frost on his staff and cape.
Looks like an angel was caught in the blast.
