Does Steam have a way of entering coupon codes? I've never noticed it, but I'm not gonna pass up a chance to win a game. You should give it to me because I love sci-fi games and tower defense games. I also voted for your review (whatever that means... I just saw "Vote!" and clicked it). Oh, and I never win anything. That's what's awesome about digital distribution platforms: they have such a variety of games you've never heard of. I mean, retail stores sell games too, but because of t
It does not look very good. I was looking at the screenshots and it loks like old graphics.
I don't know anything about this game, I just wanted say that graphics do not determine if a game is good or not. Starcraft is regarded as a favorite strategy game by many people, yet it uses "simple" 2D graphics. And Half-Life is still considered to be a revolutionary FPS, yet its graphics are 10 years old.
One thing that always prevented me from doing the more advanced maps was that I had no idea you could crouch-jump (holding down ctrl and then jumping forward). In Portal and Half-Life 2, there was never a puzzle that required you to crouch-jump, yet map designers expected the players to know it. I found that many of the puzzles were easy to solve if you remember to crouch in a portal puzzle that involves using momentum to get to a platform, etc. One of the Prelude characters explains
I agree with you completely. No widescreen support was an annoyance a couple of years ago, but nowadays there's just no excuse for it. Out of curiosity, is there any way to tell whether a game uses Vert- or Hort+ without researching it online (i.e. just by looking at the screen)?
Misleading title. I thought this was going to be about a planetarium that used an SoaSE mod. Besides, it's not like the screen navigation in SoaSE is anything special. It's a great game, don't get me wrong. But there's nothing really unique about the navigation. Of course, the planetarium itself looks awesome. Wish I could play SoaSE on that screen... but I guess my neck would get tired.
I doubt GPG or Stardock will strive to support this, as SD has its own digital distribution platform. Besides, right now the developers probably care more about engine and gameplay issues, and not so much whether they can get their game to work with a rival piece of software.
By Rogann Posted October 11, 2008 11:50:08 I do not recall having read any explanation from a SD or GPG representative concerning that state of affair : is it so difficult to fix ? Please point us to a pertinent thread if such an explanation has already been given.
Isn't it pretty much a given that every bug posted in the Beta Feedback board is acknowledged by GPG or Stardock, whether or not they reply? I mean, if this bug were in the full game you
Well, currently unlike supcom, the micromanagement takes a lot in this game. Which means sometimes we don't have luxuary to zoom out and in during the battle. Supcom and Demigod is completely different game.... and I think the game style justifies minimap.
Agreed. In RTSs, especially ones with the scale of SupCom, you can often just tell your army to attack and then zoom out, sit back, and watch the battle (obvi
I already emailed . This is the response: Because Demigod has already entered beta, we are no longer able to cancel preorders for it. The order has already been processed and you have been given access to the game. We are only able to cancel preorders when t
Yeah. Something that innocuous may seem pointless to point out in the beta stage, but when the game goes gold, people will expect it to be polished. I know that if I had just purchased Demigod and discovered something like that in the final version, I would have doubts as to the quality of the rest of the game.
