I read in the "Where do demigods go to die" post that GPG is taking some inspiration from Indian mythology. I was thinking that you guys could also take some cues from Chinese mythology. The most famous mythological figure in Chinese legend is the Monkey King, or <A href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wik
My new and improved thoughts: Well, I took another look at the screenshots, ;p and I actually think that the lighting does add atmosphere, because it makes everything look very bleak, even though it's at the top of a huge magnificent structure. Also, even though I wish there were a bit more veriaty in the unit types, I think that the Supcom engine does an excellent job at scaling, even though the shadows are a bit overkill, and I still think that the Generals need a way of identifying thei
Really?
We have something really special and unique in development.
:d example? Hint? please?
Can I get paragraphs please? That's not an insult, I'm serious.
I agree, your letter is about as hard on the eyes as the massed together minotaur-like units.
The bright desert sunlight over the map casts great shadows but apart from that serves no real purpose to improve the mood aesthetically or illuminate the units.
I agree. The lighting should be adjusted. Still, this hasn't even reached the beta yet, so patience should be applied.<br
I think that the idea with a starting level is a good one, especially for a quick but intense match with none of the work of leveling up.
About the cameras, I beleive they are for monitoring traffic, and not monitoring people who make comments about the country. ;p Why? Because on TV you get footage from these cameras displayed to tell you what the traffic's like.
I agree that China has changed a lot during the past lifetime, much faster than their western counterparts. China needs time to grow up like every other nation ;p. Oh, and I ROFLOLed when I read the tourist post
How soon?
wow, people posted while I wrote. The earthquake was magnitude 7.3, or something like that, just for your info.
Ubernaught, I also can not properly translate 'sterilize'. It seems to have something to do with curing but I don't think that is your meaning and I don't have enough context to properly understand it.
I understand, I have the same problem with chinese. Here, he means the latter will be killing the meaning of the former.
mightygoobi, your prose
Will people get this straight?! China is not communist! :( China has huge corporations! The government is trying its best to stop the pollution, but the capitalists who run the companies won't listen because they want more money. I wonder why this sounds so familiar... ;p Also, if you haven't been to china then yu can shut your ****in' trap about china not being free or whatever, because you have not experienced chinese culture or their attitude towards life in general. It's
I agree with mightygoobi another note: W3 is extremely popular in China, and of the people who play it, a large percentage play DotA. Therefore, I think that China is a huge marketing opportunity for Demigod. Will Stardock jump at this opportunity?
When will there be a new website? I hope it has some gameplay vids to tempt us :d !
I am a canadian who has been living in china for a year, and here is what I have to say:
iv) Why don't they ever translate Chinese RPGs into English? You have Planescape:Torment and Knights of the Old Republic. We have some really good games too - but they never make it beyond our borders (big domestic market I am guess).
right. there are a lot of action-rpgs in china along with a ton of mmorpgs to. Why don't they ever get to n.america? ;p Anyway, next topic:<
Nanaimo, BC, Canada. I am, however, living in Haidian District, Beijing, China at the moment.
