Please, for the love of God, don't use statistics to balance the game. Why? Because statistics give equal weight to all players' choices, and not all players are good enough to comment on balance (me for instance). Really, the best way to balance the game is to set up a team automatch/tourneys and see if there are specific dominant strategies on high levels of team play. Sure, there are minor imbalances (from my understanding), but it seems pretty balanced to me. Using stats w

Also, armor of vengeance has an interesting synergy here: any damage sent back to the attacker will trigger disease / plague , hence snaring him... especially useful for a quick escape against ranged demigods. Since you have no armor item, it maight be a fair option. <b

You are likely to die if they weren't the same character anyway and you couldn't get away. It's not a problem with double classes being unbalanced, it's just that 2v1 never really going to end well and the fact that the enemy is using two of th

Don't nurture new people, the less there will be to play with.
This. Plus, talk to them. I'm mediocre at best right now (albeit I still am stomping other players just because I read the forums), and when I talk to people most of them are pretty good about listening.

The whole "everyone was a noob once" arguement isn't really valid. I played this game for a week single player mode and read the forums that same week. When I got into the online play I actually was better than 80% of the people I met. If I

Heck, I joined one game, checked the settings, and they were all normal. The one thing I didn't think to look at was the FoW setting -- he had turned it off and didn't bother mentioning it. And he was Reg, hardly a coincidence. We still beat him though :P. But really, it would be a lot nicer if it just had a little ale
He had Groffling I think. Calcs: Groff absorbs 300 (iirc). You normal hit for 140. So you knocked it down to 160 in one hit. Then you critted for 280, whith 160 absorbed, knocking it down to 120. Problem solved, I think.
It should just have a little message in the chat box when you enter, that says "standard settings" or "custom settings." That way you'll know if you need to check the settings after you get in the game.

It'd be nice to have official word from GPG, but it might be intentional. Some farsighted dev might have thought ahead that since all the other generals on a team will buy Bishops, Sedna with Wind 2 could get stackable and improved priest minions on the cheap. It could be an intentional Sedna perk, though probably an unnecessar

Sorian, you are awesome. And we love you. I think the devs should look to implement your fixes. Saves them time, gives us better gameplay, everyone wins!
If I remember correctly there was a program/setting/test like this in Supcom. It was fairly nice, I rather wish they would implement it here. It isn't just ping that slows down games (and normally if it is ping it is because of ping spiking).
My thoughts exactly. I'd like to be able to view the Enemies information in a replay though, however ingame is shouldn't be visible. Same here. What I don't appreciate is (example): 2v2, the premade buddies wait for the other team to both hit ready, then quickly change their demigods and hit ready and start the game. I know that's the advantage of hosting the game, but I still feel it's a kind of trickery exploit, although I don't see this changing anytime soon. Would help if there was

Granted, I'm not sure exactly how it should best be implemented (health v timer say -- I prefer timer myself). Also, if the goggles favor item broke the smoke screen effect, that might actually make it a usable/useful favor item. Either way, I think this could really improve the depth of the game. Great idea!
