i dont think it has to do with graphic settings, sim speed is allways above 5 in crucible, why should the game freeze, often. I know ppl with sim speed 9 and game still freezes often, playing just agains AI, odd no? I'm sure everyone must have this breaks during game, dont understand why so few complaint, or why there isn't a post from GPG os Stardock on this. Will it be like this on release or not? Its quite anoying.
I think if demigod can get a nice spectator mode going with features like being able to flip to certain ppl/areas on the fly, a tv mode where people join tv servers to watch the game and chat, that would build the mass appeal for the competitive scene. People of all sorts of skill levels would love to watch tournament finals (provided its scheduled in the right time zone). Also, people would hold back on the cheating as they are being watched and

The game freezes for a moment several times, lets just hope this doesn't make it live. This kind of anoying freezing and game slow response to commands came after the first versions of beta 3, i still believe its a beta thing.
Disconnect - dishonourable loss, should incur punishment. (Right now I'm seeing disconnects counted that weren't actually player disconnects. If DCs can't be reliably counted then they shouldn't make it into statistics, but I assume this is a Beta thing) Forfeit/Surrender - honourable loss, should be recorded as honourable loss. Forfeit/Surrender option should be in release candidate, imo Test game

There are lots of threads about this issue, but about this issue i have a diferent not such straight view. I understand the problem, and why ppl complaint about leavers, but only to a certain extent. Consider the following examples: 1) a player(s) looking for games to raise his score, enters a game and on the other team someone leave after being killed the first time. That players team get weaker with a AI playing for him, no doubt. That player should ge

It came because, imo if you leave items out of the equation, the OPness cames in diferent forms, for instance you get: - a unstopable UB that kills TB, Reg and everyone besides Rook with no chance of escaping (slow, +speed, +attack speed and dmg, and a Dot just in case u escape to make sure your die) - a TB with a powerfull combo but without mana to really make it effective - Reg finds him self late game unabble to do much unless his target decides to run through all h

Being this a almost completly multiplayer game (yes, i know about the single player tournament), having great functionality is a must. Some good and necessary things were posted above, but being able to search for a random match as a team is really a absolutly necessary functionality. Shouldn't this things being tested right now too?

I just believe one can't make assumptions about skill tree powerness or powerless when that build, or the sucess of that build, is based on purchased items, because anyone on the opposing team can counter your items with other items, or should be able to do it anyway (item balancing). For instance, UB or Reg buys +dmg, i buy +armor. TB or Rook buys +mana and +manaregen, i buy +HP and +HPregen to suck up the dmg. Maybe not the exact strategy but in this cases will counter their options
Your point? It's mindlessly easy for TB to get those mana items.
Yes, just as easy as it is for other demigods to get more HP or any other item that helps counter TB combo, or UB attack speed. My point is that to balance demigods correctly itens should be left out of the equation. Balancing itens is important too, dont get me wrong.

I'd play more generals than QoT(who i play as an assassin) if I got some use out of them when compared to assassins.
True also, no point in lowering costs, or buffing their damage, or anything else until they dont respond to orders. Its really very anoying and game breaking that minions dont respon

It would be a waste of time and money to change over to anything else. As for the current peer to peer setup, it's just ok. If you have a slow computer or slow network then it ruins the game for everyone else. Last night I was playing with someone with a simspeed of -1, I quit the game 5 minutes in
Because there is no 'server' int the way other RTS's have it. Everyone is technicly spoken a client and server while playing. Most (if not all) RTSes are peer-to-peer. I don't think I've ever seen one where you didn't have to port forward to host.
I agree that demigod brings some evolution, but when you want to dominate the market, make a sucessfull tournament rts game, a company should point

Although i agree with many things writen in this thread, i would like to remember people that many of the OP solutions for any of this demigods some times rely on items, and if you buy one item the other guy in the other team can buy another, items need to be balanced but should not interfer much in balancing demigods. For instance: TB has a very powerfull combo, powerfull when you get the 3 skills in ICE to complete the combo, but must one remind that in order

I have to agree that boosting the money a general gains would cause imbalance and could be exploited. But the problem with generals must be resolved. Giving the option to any demigod to buy idols isn't good either, like i read some where posted by someone. I played and replayed all the generals over and over, when ever i start a game buying the weaker priests i'm able to "hold the line" agains any other assassin and win some money to evolve either in items or in more idols, bu

Well, if we wont have a competitive community in this game what else you think we will have? Isnt that the point of this game? Competitive online community ftw. Nice to see someone is thinking ahead and and steps up to create a clan, either it fails or suceeds. Congrats and wish you many luck.

Just to remind that this bug still exists and is killing in game experience to some players. And for the record it is sound related, playing with /nosound option improves performance a lot. This problem was reported first here: Previous Beta 2D Bug Report

Happens with TB too. Some times he just doesnt do anything. And sometimes loses target. I believe that happens with all demigods i can think of.

Do not remove warpstone, is a good item that adds strategy. To resolve the problems around it i sugest that when someone use he can´t use spells for 3-4 secs after teleporting. Would resolve much of the issues.

Yes, its sad that QoT was once powerfull and fun to play, and now sucks hard. And I know she was playing like an assassin, but at the moment having minions sucks anyway, all but spirits. On the topic, light has more resilience, but darkness has some nice damage and combos.

8 Replies 1,336 Views

I agree, but for me the most anoying thing is really when you give orders like attack a demigod and they just ignore you. They attack who they want. Another really anoying thing is, in maps like Catarat, you are capturing a flag and want the minions around you, close to you and not attacking. And they just insist on going after something alone, like a tower and get their butts kiked, one has to move them further away. Overall, minions are just mindless stupid and not that stro
