In the opening, it tells us the reason why these 8 were chosen to compete is because they have enough divinity left in their body to have the potential to become a god. They didnt just see these 8 guys and go, "oh, they seem pretty bad ass, lets make 'em fight each other and winner can be a god."

I think it souds pretty cool, a lot more unique than the majority of new demigods posted. Psi prism doesnt sound all that great to me though.
In this mode itll just be about survival with the exception of buying limited potions per wave or being rewarded potions at the end of a wave, the rest is up to your skill.
I dont think theres a whole lot of skill involved in hitting whichever hot key is the AOE spell for your demigod. Even during late game all reinforcements die in 1 AOE atack.

I dont understand why anyone thinks this is a good idea. makeing something more expensive because its used a lot just doesnt make sense, it doesnt add anything to the game but anoyance.

I dont like the XP bonus. It provides to much of an advantage early game. I would also like to see something replace the extra money, it seems almost like a wasted skill to me. On top of that, I dont see how totems fit in with a traditional wizard character. Totems are usualy more asociated with less sophisticated, or more primal magics, like shamans and witch doctors. Also, traditional wizard characters in most games are usualy heavy damage dealers, not support roles.

I disagree that the game is decided in the beggining. I've played several matches where one team seems to be the clear cut winner, but the enemy all of a sudden comes from behind and starts pushing you back. However, I will say that there is a point at which there is no return, and that point does happen fairly fast. while in games sc, and wcIII it is posible to turn the tides through some clever strategy, its much less so in demigod. after theyve destroyed your first line of towers and have

A lot of people say that generals are to good of assasins. That makes no sense at all, if they arent suposed to be good at taking out other demigods, what are they suposed to be good at, taking out other generals' minions?

I figured I would go ahead and start this since I didnt see it yet. Heres a one stop shopping center for strategies regarding the citadel upgrades. I'm going to start things off with a statement that I believe to be true(I encourage all to debate it). At the start of the round, doesnt matter who it is, someone needs to buy the structure health/ repair upgrade. heres why. Your forwatd towers are a great line of defense. Retreating behind the towers will save your ass man

Very helpful thread thank you. I believe what you should stack more of depends partial on how you want to play. For instance, if you want to play TB you should stack health and health per second over armor. since your long rage will prevent you from taking a good portion of auto atack damage, and armor is useless against long range abilites.

I would sugest game suported voice chat. even if im in trouble, typing out that i need help isnt going to help much. 1) theres no garuntee anyone will see it(I usualy dont notice when other people type) 2) while im typing, they're killing me. its just counterproductive to try and type anything out. Game suported voice chat just seems the way to go to incresing comunication.

I dont see this strategy as any type of threat. If you have 4 regs sniping back in their base, who is defending the front of the base? all you would have to do to counter this is first, capture all the flags, giving you a nice advantage, and the start rushing for the base. level up your reinforcements fast and the towers will go down in no time. even if every time the cd is up one demigod gets eleminated from your team, thats more time they arent hitting your citadel, and if they ignore you a

I play lord erebus for his minions. I max out the nighwalkers, and usual end up as bite as my only skill, sometimes mist depending on who else is in the game. late game I go for that bat rush move. even playing this way its hard to not play like an assassin, sure I have 10 op minions running around causing havoc, but through gear choice and bite i can always take out enemy demigods. bat swarm-bite just screams anti demigod to me, and its hard to imagine staying back and letting minions have a

I've been doing a little bit more experimenting, and I have to say, the melee idols arent worth buying at all. The archers however, are just as good as the priests. even though they dont heal you, they have such a long atack range, even other players dont go after them, and their damage is decent. I still found however that buying anything but the highest rank of archer is a waste of money.

5 Replies 2,161 Views

I always just wait and save up till I can buy the most expensive idols, and never even bother buying the low level ones. Obviously this presents the problem of no minions in early game. What would you guys recomend on when and what idols to buy?

5 Replies 2,161 Views

playing lord erebus I've never had a problem beating rook(as long as he isnt standing near towers). I usualy send minions in first so he uses his hammer slam on them. Even when I do get hit with the hammer, it only does about as much damaga as a bite hieals for, so its not that bad.

25 Replies 5,560 Views

I'm having the same problem. if you look on on the pantheon page you'll see that the top players only have aroun 2500 favor points. that seems really low considering you get aroun 250 for winning, it could be a result of this problem

I'm not saying hes dead before last stand triggers, but you should still get credit for your kills, same thing when someone drinks the potion that drops from lord erebus and it kills them.
agreed what kinda rts is this where u can't click on mini map
regardless of what the box says, I refuse to think of this as an RTS, just because you can tell things what to do doesnt mean its an RTS.

I've had this happen multiple times and its very anoying. I kill oak. Oak comes back to life in that crystalized form or whatever it is(i dont know oaks tree yet, sorry i cant be more specific) and kills me. After the duration wears off, the measage is shown that I just killed oak, but since I'm dead, I dont get any xp for it. Thats a bit rediculous.

6 Replies 1,825 Views

another idea, maybe just have spells scale with level, rank ups of spells acomplish that to a degree, but I for one think that a level 1 fire ball should do more at 20 than at 1, even if it is level 1. this may eliminate the need for items to increase their effectiveness.

13 Replies 2,593 Views

I agree that their should be items to increase the effectivness of spells. I think, as it is in most cases, that balance is key. dont make the items so rediculous that they make auto atacks a waste of time in the end game, but dont make it so that you dont even look at your skills anymore(which is a huge exageration, some skills are still used even in late game) I also thing that the demigod you'be chosen. Take 2 demigods, say TB and unclean beast(because they are pretty much oposits imo) and
