Yes well unfortunately I don't happen to have a spare video card lying around hah.
Resist_The_Dawn
Maybe you should just try reinstalling it. That works more often than not haha.
I don't think so. The GPU was extremely hot everytime this happened and I touched the MOBO to see if maybe it was overheating too and it wasnt cool. So no I'm 99% sure its the GPU.
Okay well I turned the fail on full bear but still the same problem. This is strange because I've been using the same case and card for long enough that it shouldnt just be happening all of a sudden. I'm thinking that Maybe the first time I did overheat it, but now its just screwed up and cant properly cool itself once that happened. Anyways I'm running it off of the onboard 7100 which is less than ideal. But its all I can do atm. Anyone have any other ideas why this might be happening?
Oh my god thank you wizard! The an was set at 30% by default and was idling at 62 degrees celsius :O
Hello everyone, about a month ago the fan on my geforce 9500 GT broke and it overheated and fried. I replaced it with a Geforce 7950 GT that had a much better fan on it. However, Today I was playing a mod for unreal tournament 3 called the haunting (really good mod if you have UT3 you should check it out), and I had been playing on and off for about 3 hours or so, when all of a sudden The screen announces it has no connection and goes to sleep, and the sound kept looping until I had to manual
Haha this thread has made me laugh. I think You all have valid points and just to be on the safe side, I'm gonna format the hard drive and start over, and probably pick up a better cpu cooler down the road. Thanks for all the help everyone :)
Well, this is something I dont really understand, My computer came with a D drive, which is used for recovery. Anyone know how that works? It didnt come with recovery discs.
Oh, so I wouldnt actually need to buy anything for that? I could just format it and then recover my windows and itd be good to go?
Well I dont think Im going to over clock the CPU (at first anyways), so I didnt think I would need anything beyond the stock CPU cooler. And I will need a new windows and such you say? Why is that? Could I format my old HDD and just put a new windows on it? Thanks
Oh I see thank you. Ok one more thing. Im building this computer (Obviously) And I wanna make sure I havn't forgotten Something Or something isnt compatible. So, in addition to the MoBo and the GPU, I also plan to get this Case , This DVD Drive , This Processor , Th
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150394 It says PCI Express 2.0 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128387 and this one says PCI Express. Will that be a problem?
Furthermore The story is less about black mesa and the combine and such and more about the G-man and the mysterious "employers" He represents. There have been several characters throughout the game who have known about Gordons "contract", though most of them are now dead (Eli, Breen). The vortigaunts seem to represent an opposing force the G-man as they have stopped him from taking gordon.
Judging by that Q&A it seems like these guys really love the old MW games and want to keep it like that. I'd imagine itd be like MW4 though, cept for the mechs will probably move more slowly (as they should). And for all the people complaining about the sensors and such, you should all stop and think that even if that changes the way things used to be, dont you think that it would be a bit more strategic and add some depth to the game?
Modding is going to be more important. Clan support and such is only important to a small minority of elite players, you should just have unranked games. Mod's however are the best thing you can do to a game. I've gotten bored of playing the same 8 maps with the same 8 demigods. Give us mod support and in no time we'll have plenty of new stuff to try. We were told we'd have new demigods by now but it clearly isnt happening. Mods first then you can do whatever you want.
Okay I have a new question. How does one create working doors between rooms?
Hello, I'm attempting to learn how to use UT2004's Editor program to make some maps. The problem I'm having is once I make say a cube and click subtract to make a room, the textures I have selected dont appear, the room just becomes white. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it an internal error? Thank you Edit: Just kidding I figured it out, had to change the veiwing mode to textured.
This is just silly. Half the stuff you listed is coming, and alot of it isnt that big of a deal. They use IE because everyone has it, no one's gonna want to hafta download a new web browser if they dont have too. And about the bugs, SD is nothing like EA in this regard, First of all, the bugs are pretty much on GPG's end anyways. Also stardock has been working extremely hard to fix everything and keeping us informed on what they've been doing. No other company (especially EA) Does thi
Ok I see. Well I was thinking I'd start with either the source SDK or UT2k4's editor as I have both of those and they seem like they'd be somewhat easier to use than some of the other things. Are there any guides or things I should be aware of before I mess with these? edit: @drugfreeboy- I'm not really sure what I want to accomplish yet, I just wanna mess around in it first ha.
Does anyone know guides and programs and the like that could help me learn to mod games? Im quite interested in learning to do so. Thanks
The tournament isnt a good thing to compare to a normal game shake its so messed up you cant compare. Hard AI doesnt cheat, Nightmare however does. New players arent gonna be playing nightmare and probably not even hard. So relax, if you hate cheating AI so much just play online.
Lolololololololololololol Arby n the Chief references for the win!
Hard AI doesnt cheat. Only nightmare does. THey just stack every speed item, skill, and favor item, and then use wand of speed to move so ridiculously fast. Try it out yourself.
Also there would surely be mods made where the press of a button would do everything needed for you and people could freely switch between different builds at the drop of a hat. A very bad idea this is.
