I hate to steal from other games, but in warcraft 3 and WoW arenas you can 'queue' as a team. Seems like a good fix. If it's a competitive ranked team game shouldn't you be able to form teams?

The UI is terrible. All these suggestions people are giving are BS. The camera is unwieldly and impossible to manage as you're fighting. Life bars are too small and show up incorrectly when you are zoomed out. Control click needs to be inverted, regular click can only target DG, control click allows targetting of anything. Regulus (w/o wings) and Lord erberus can practically hide inside a UB or rook model, can't even click them correctly. Teleport scrolls don't correctly show the arrival anim

It sounds like a pretty awful strategy if someone on your team had decent AOE.. just aoe their creep wave and push towers in the absence of 1 DG. Also.. QoT is very easy to gank.. and she doesn't really have much to save her from the 2v1.. probably only the teleport cloak. So if she ninjas a flag just double teleport in and kill her. Then take her downtime to push towers. A little more teamwork and communication would win the day.

Yeah everytime I host I use something like 'pros only'. Never works. I suppose it's natural.. most people think they're hot sh!t right? Not sure what to do about it. Stats don't even work.. since custom games are custom.. they could be comp stomping. If the title specifically says no noobs.. and there's a couple of them in the game.. probably just quit and remake, save everyone some time. It was like that in dota too really.. nothing you could do then either.

It's rediculous to try to explain why 1 DG beats another DG 1v1. Some DGs just beat other DGs 1v1.. it's why this is a team game. I usually play QoT or regulus, and regulus can't beat anyone 1v1 (of equal gear and skill). But 2v2 and kiting, he's amazing. QoT can beat just about anyone 1v1 by spamming shield.. but has no escapes for 2v1. Each class has strength and weaknesses. There needs to be more defenses on your side of the map or something. I mean.. the towers are nice.. but their AI sucks.. they target randomly. If towers always targetted DGs over creeps that'd be a start. Other than that maybe passive regen/ move aura when you are close to your citadel. As it is now.. if you're on the losing side.. there's really nothing that can actually tip things around. Not sure what you mean by nonessential, some of those items win the game just fine on games I play (generally cataract prison and leviathan). General comments are more or less spot on though. Armor/Hp is pretty damn important esp. vs. organized opponents. Although, pushing 1 lane as opposed to holding multiple seems to contradict with holding flags. I think QoT is pretty strong.. but a bore to play. She excels in the support role, much more than Sedna. She heals (more or less), reduces armor, slows, AOEs creeps destroys towers. She lacks the strong 1v1 killing ability and generally performs well if you're good at switching stances and sticking with a strong tanking character (oak, rook etc.) But she is BORING. Probably why most people don't play her.

Can we stop arguing about HoL already. It's clearly BS. It's already being nerfed in the patch. It totally kills the rhythm of the game. It's not an issue of countering it's an issue of value. HoL is way over valued for it's price and has an ability that generally is limited to 3 stacks. If they came out with a 400 gold gloves that adds +100 damage everyone would get that too. HoL is just the potion version of that.

I would still like to see charges on HoL. Tired of never having to conserve mana once I have it, same goes for opponent DGs. It really changes the dynamics of the game and imo not in a good way. The game just gets boring when we don't have to consider our resources.

Let's just please nerf heart of life it kills the late game in 3s. On large maps it's not as devastating as there are many lanes to cover and you can get around your opponent. But on Prison and Cataracts if I'm slightly ahead I just sit in front of your base and destroy your creeps and wear away your towers and walk 5 step back and full health/mana up. I usually don't pay much attention. As long as I have more than the opponent I switch my focus to farming gold, taking down towers and killing DGs. No point getting to high war rank if you don't have the gear/$ to buy cats and giants and be able to push into their spawns.

I agree with you busdude. I'm not sure why everyone thinks HoL is ok. It's not ok at all. Never having to run back to your base to heal completely changes the game. There's really no opportunity for the defending player to fight back to the center of the map. People keep suggesting that having 1 less 4k gold item is terribly game breaking, but it's not the case for many classes. Most people play conquest, which involves pushing creep lines and towers. Don't get shamblers and you're fine. QoT easily solos lanes and towers so efficiently that you'll constantly have to have 2 DGs chasing her to make sure she doesn't wreck your defenses. That is much more devastating than being able to solo other DGs. Not to mention for those final pushes and 'all one lane' moments her shield and slow and spikes are incredible support.
