You lost me at towers suck... Being able to control multiple flags simultaneously is incredibly useful. That being said yes rook roll builds are fun and highly effective as well. But saying towers suck is definitely inaccurate.
Quoting StAcK3D_ActR, reply 18Frogboy shouldnt have to deal with this community. its disappointing how much lack of respect is shown towards him in this thread. every post he makes is a privilege you know. hmm stacked technically he does have to deal with the community that is one of the jobs of the publisher
That's like saying the CEO of mcdonalds is responsible for giving you your coffee and egg mcmu
So does that mean once you've played with someone, you can never play with them again if you want to host a no premade game? After a couple 100 games you tend to know most the puggers that play in your timeframe.
Every since I cut over to exclusively random for demi selection i've had quite a few double matches. It doesn't feel as overpowered in game as it does in the lobby(to me at least). If you play random do you think you have to allow doubles during demi selection in the lobby to be fair?
It seemed to me when there were a lot of new players, people bitched about snipe constantly. The concept of getting away from the fight then having someone plink them from across the map just didn't sit well.
Unbreakable boots seems like enough of a pool increase to me as well. I don't find myself ever having mana issues with boots + bots
They are all viable and fun in their own ways imo. Full fire, full frost, and hybrid, really they are all viable.
I constantly get stuck in this never ending love hate for anklet. Buy anklet and get beaten heads up 1 on 1 vs blood user. Don't buy anklet and constantly get run away from by anklet users in a winning fight. It always feels like a grass is greener situation to me. Plus anklet is seductive for flag capping, shopping, harassing. It's so hard to resist it hehe.
Sounds good. Magnus rod is expensive though, and you'll burn up all your mana with renewal in the early game. I'm guessing it takes a while to get cooking?
ya just played one again. im convinced that an assassin oak cannot defeat a general erubus who takes bite if theyre equal skill levels. the minions lawl at your surge, the erubus regens so fast you cant pen harass. its simply gg. does anyone know if general oak fares any better?
You can do essentially the exact same thing erebus can do.
How about: Rook lvl 9 Rank 3 hammer slam Rank 3 passives Boulder roll I Towers II ( normally i'd get towers 1 and save for rank 10 ). Items, Favor: blood, Armor: Scaled, Banded, Nimoth's, unbreakable boots, Flemish head And wand of speed. Lure in to 2 or 3 towers, roll slam, wand of speed chase. Hopefully roll + slam + towers + passives kill priests.
I only found the need to rebind 3... I leave wasd, and 1234, and f1f2f3f4, they seem logical enough as is. I have 3 mouse buttons assigned, select self, select minions, select self + minions, so all unit control is on the other hand. I don't mind k for skill selection, c for char selection and tab for score...
i just played AS the minion erubus...turns out there are ways to counter it but requires different dg's. for example i came across a tb/ plant combo who would just rape my army. in my original post we suffered from severe lack of AOE (might have worked if reg was a stronger mine player, i suspect he was playing off spec). also, i didnt play it as well as my opponents did when they got me so there was that factor too. [/quote
The build is very strong early on. I'd say you want to avoid until level 3/4 mines and surge of faith. And have someone save for an orb of veiled storms. You really need to be able to insta blow up the army to completely counter this strat.
How would you guys work a minion build as queen? I can never decide if it's better to buff up shamblers or stick strictly to Morale. Plus there's the question of get spikes and hope to god you don't die trying to debuff their armor, or get lots of shield and hope you live to help your army kill them enemy. I haven't played queen since the trend of Battle Horning has been around and would love the advice. Sho
I played this build twice last night ( I always random so lucked out! ) and it worked VERY well. Your mana pool is a bit small until you get the unbreakable boots, but after that you have essentially 0 mana issues even at full spam. I didn't have much luck with the sludge slinger, it just didn't seem all that useful for getting away or for fighting, but I likely under utilized it (first time trying). As for escaping demis, I found with permafrost and frost nova, I didn't hav
I wanted to try nearly the exact same build with just a few changes. Think this is a viable alternative? I always play fire tb and really want to try the below as ice. Favor: Blade of the serpent Starting items: Totem of revelation, Banded Armor, Gauntlets of brutality. Secondary: Unbrekable boots, Boots of Speed, narmoths Closing: Sludge slinger, Wand of speed. lots of teleport scrolls &nb
How was it weird? I'm curious now
Mostly what above people said. I'm a LONG time rts player so I feel I need to be doing something at all times. There's rarely a moment i'm not moving camera/zooming, checking stats, checking gold, checking teammates, checking items, moving camera again, etc.. etc... I sorta assumed a lot of demi players are rts'ers.
You have a very weird play style hehe. Was like being locked in a coffin. Thanks for the vid though, always nice to see other people's play.
Kind of an odd post at the end there. You say there is no counter, nothing you can do, then list exactly the correct counter, and exactly what you are should do....
