It can be terribly bothersome to be followed by a minion swarm, if you try to kill them you will loose a lot of hp and the enemy demigod will come and finish you off. If you try to run, well, you miss out on exp... I think that there should be some kind of reward for killing them, some gold or experience.

Maybe the "general" items that give bonuses for your minions could just be a bit cheaper for assasins or the minion stats could apply to the assasins aswell?
Nice idea, as usual.
A favor item that turns Oak into Chuck Norris
Dear me, do you know about the word overpowered?
He is a bit too strong if you play him correctly. More importantly he is hard to counter, especially for rook. Everybody has a nemesis (almost) but sometimes it is a bit too easy to kill rook. A nerf would probably be in it's place, or the others can get some kind of buff.
Nice idea. Great artwork for the stalkers aswell, you might want to look over the reasons for them following someone though. Maybe they shold be buyable? So you buy some which attack a random demi every for example 2 minutes?
Ask PhrozenDragon ^^ (Don't tell him I told you)
lol... fun idea though. Too bad I can't do any modding.
OR... just dont die? this.
OR you could just discuss the idea and give something constructive but I guess that's not everybody's cup of tea... I like ZehDon's idea, that would reduce the enemies gain on killing you somewhat. However it might be that and reduced time untill spawn maybe?
Sounds ok but I think I prefer how it is today. It shouldn't harm your allies though, it should juts damage enemies.
Exactly, premades who play "noobs only" are just a bunch of cowards. The game name suits them pretty well. If you don't like premade, play pantheon or skirmish. Or you can check in the ladder stats and see if they have played together before. It is as simple as that. People who want to play together should be able to!
You'll learn. Some of us had the advantage to learn to play when everyone else was newbs aswell :P
I have to agree with Lugh, dying in the beginning isn't so bad. Can be turned around easily. Sometimes you have to accept that you can't beat your opponents in early game.
The problem with premades is that even if they post "pros only" or "no noobs", half the time there's still someone dying by level 3, and it's no fun from there. Way too many noobs out there. In DotA at least you've still got a chance by kicking noobs and not worrying about the AI feeding even more, banlists, etc. I might stop playing this game till 1.2, because it's way too infrequent that I actually get a fair,
Sorry for the double post... like i said right above this i did some Sketches and desighns and came up with a pretty solid map that uses the satellite motef. rather than give my usual 2K+ word description i leave that to the masterminds behind the SciFi Demigods Mod and will just pos thr map with a short description of what you looking at. take it or leave it this is just an idea. If you use your minions well they can be very good. Except if you are Sedna... Yetis suck... But to your idea Wagnard, I think that there already are items like this in the shops. But, as gkrit said, it isn't general or assasin specific. I don't think it has to be either. But well, it wouldn't hurt really with such items.
Quoting gkrit, reply 2wat do u mean crack? also, id like to know wat u think of the whole concept "demigod specific items", not just wat ive suggested as possible items. Out damage.. beat... I've seen enough double sedna teams in pantheon to make me phsysically ill....
Stop complaining about doubles, it is not unbalanced. Against good players it might acctually
Well, the main idea might be good. It would be nice with more skills (or as you suggest favour items that have a similar effect) to each demigod so they get more versitale. Compared to DotA (I know it's not really the same game but they are similar) which have 50 something heroes with 4 skills each. To compete with that we are going to need a bit more...
I don't think potions is bad though, you should have some reward for having killed another demigod and adds more flow into the gameplay. thats what is bad about it. you get gold xp and a free potion to heal yourself.
Well, practically it isn't you who get the pot though. If it is a team battle anyone can take it which could unbalance the odds a bit so I do understand your point. From a totally competat
The statistics should also be visible when you hover the names in Pantheon etc (when the game is trying to create a game for you).
Love your ideas Scottish. I can't wait for the mod tools so we can see your maps in action :) Good luck.
This would be sooooo nice. Good job with the pics etc Invisible that exaclty how I should think Demi should look like. :)
They are intended to do that... You can counter by buying such yourself or if you don't have any generals you should be able to kill them in another way :)
Have to agree with StAcK3d_ActR, would be bad for competative play. I don't think potions is bad though, you should have some reward for having killed another demigod and adds more flow into the gameplay. It also balances the game if you are together with an AI for example against 2 other human players which you could take one on one. With the help of the potions you can heal up quick after killing one of them and then kill the other one :)
