I could never get a shipyard to do anything either. I compared the same type ships built before and after a planet had a shipyard and didn't see any difference.

If you are talking about the planet screen where you build ships and projects you can cycle through the mini-map zooms and planetary sidebar by clicking the plus and minus sign at the top on the mini-map or planatary sidebar. A fun thread would be to build a list of characters that could be used to represent each level of a high score list. We could start with Marvin the Martian through the Jetsons and on to Luke Skywalker and Captian Kirk.
Bah no edit that should read "safe with regards to gameplay"
Are these mods with regards to gameplay? I mean that in the nicest sort of way, have there been any problems running all of them together or any problems submitting a game to the Metaverse?
I you guys don't mind me asking what level AI was this on? I'm starting to get the willies just reading about it.
As an aside the time I lost an election was after an UP edict making all govs Imperial. I then lost the next election even though my morale was high enough to win otherwise.
I just finished and won a game without moving my taxes from 50%. High morale affects pop growth and more pop lowers morale, so let social projects and such boost your morale and have the planet grow normally. If you keep lowering taxes the morale will climb but so will the population and then you will never be able to raise them again except with loss of more morale. In otherwords a planet will reach it's ideal population and morale will drop but so will pop growth with it and it will u
Just so we leave a place for those that are to say kindly "less resourceful". So many games have been ruined by catering only to the "elite" players and it is forgotten that some people play a more casual game and need these extra advantages to make the game fun and not a humbling defeat after defeat. I think this game can serve both types of players with it's multiple levels of AI but please don't lock us into a harder game without consideration.
That means in 12 turns/months IF you keep the same rate of influence increase you will win a Cultural Victory. That does not mean you will automatically win by waiting 12 turns. The AI will be increasing their influence too, you must keep up with them in order to win that type of victory.
You may need to adjust brightness and contrast on your monitor. It is a dark blue but not hard to see. Try these test patterns http://freepctech.com/rode/004.shtml Just unzip this and click ntest.exe, scan for virus first.
Holst: The Planets...'nuff said.
You can click the left mouse button to dismiss the movie and get to the summary screen. I watched the cultural movie once and mouse it away ever after.
Hey no way I can read these all so in case anyone has reported this, I'm sorry. It doesn't seem EARTH is taken in account when determing best planets for a game. Just finished one and Earth was definetely my top plante and it didn't show up ay all in the summary, in fact it doesn't even show up in the misc stats during the game.
Don't know about the constructors but where did that interface come from? I didn't see that yet, is that the good interface?
Update on the one above, some dozens turns after it poofed the resource came back.
More info: I just had a resource poof WITHOUT a load or save, one turn it was there and the next it was gone. Both myself and an opponent were sending starbases there when it disappeared. It was a military resource. The funny thing about this is that the opponent was going after it earlier in the game and then just turned around and went back near the home planet and kept his constructor still for a few turns. This was the next to last unclaimed resource on the map.
I must have been eating sardines (Mom always said it was brain food) because I just figured out what the last 2 numbers after the S in the ship list on the sidebar are. They are the sector the ship is in. Man this was bugging me. SO it's level, att/def/hp and sector. LOL WeeHoo!!
Thanks all, I can't believe I missed half the game now I have more work to do.
Thanks, Ok for starbase I can understand, what about colonies? Are any empty star systems fair game for colonies under the present rules?
I knew someone would look. I am stupid because I didn't know that you could colonize a system in a sector that has minor races or opponents. I played 6 games staying only in my sectors with my colony ships. I was afraid to start a war. I take it this still holds true, I read it in the encyclopedia. Now I have to re-think my whole game strategy. This is the honest truth. Now a stupid question, can you make starbases in alien sectors without getting the natives uspet?
Try this manual, it is easier to read, has no background graphic so it prints faster and has updated abilities and some othet things. http://www.brimstonedragons.net/azakain/index.php?showpage=downloads
I just checked my game and had the same thing 3 of resources are still there but the fourth one disappeared, was one of those yellow barrel looking things. Starbase sitting there doing nothing now. Also noticed it takes a few turns till influence comes back after loading a save.
48, I played PONG when it first came out. Owner and player of: Atari 2600 TI 99/4A Colecovision Nintendo Super Nintendo PC 386DX 25Mhz Sega Saturn Playstation Gameboy Nintendo 64 PC P-200MMX PC P3-800Mhz PC P4-2.5Ghz
Just dive in, I felt the same way but the game mechanics are pretty simple, it's the strategy that gets complex. Go to the start menu entry for the game and load the survivor guide and print that out then go here http://www.brimstonedragons.net/azakain/index.php?showpage=downloads and get an updated manual. It has the abilities from the bonus pack and some more manual updates, it's also quick to print because it doesn't have a background like the original .pdf. Remem
I got the .039 was about 900K and also the Bonus pack update. There were updates for the multimedia and .pdf manual but these ran through so fast I don't think anything downloaded or it was very small, was there any size to those or just version number updates?
