If you have worked out how to alter the ingame avatars it might be nice to post the 'how to' here so others can follow your instructions

From the stickied FAQ thread: If you had an original TotalGaming.net subscription in which you received GalCiv II for free, you can get the Collector's Edition for $20 which includes shipping to North America ($25 outside North America). You'll need to contact [email protected] though. If they can ever be bothered to answer the emails sent

From a previous thread i replied to: - The only thing that is nagging me right now is the huge range the initial ships have? Hopefully this will be sorted by the release. Yup even uncolonized planets can be name changed
Yes you can customize the colors of your ships from the race customization screen. You can select the base ship designs available to you by race, change the color of your ships, engine colors and more. As to how customizable the parts are; thay are very customizable from positioning them on the base ship to the size of the part added. Basically each component part can be increased or reduced in size. Buy the game and you will soon find out <img src="smiles/Cool.gif" borde

Q> If we pre-ordered via orginal TGN subscription through SDC and have beta tested is there a link from which we can purchase a boxed SE version at the reduced cost that was mentioned some time ago?
Umm looking at my profile it appears as though i have been arounf since Sept 03 Will b around just as long with the new version as have really enjoyed beta testing and look forward to the full version Thanks Brad and the team for allowing me to test and for producing yet another fantastic game <img src
Not sure if you can d/l it (more than likely though). However if you can you will need to d/l and install the program called Stardock Central http://www.sdcentral.net/ All updates and downloads are available through this program and future bug fixes and additions will be made available through this program too.
Can i make a Borg CUBE??? Not with the designs available so far......
Yup designing the ships is fun
The tutorial will give you an insight into the mechanics of GCII but will not give you a 'walkthrough' on how to play it. That i'm affraid is down to you guys. The tutorials are very good and full of important info but the game is just too big to cover everything and a lot will still be down to you guys to work out
Yarlen is there a way for those of us that do purchase GCII via TGN subscription and Stardock Central to get the bonus items? As a beta tester i'm not sure if we get the game on release made available to us via SDC or if we have to purchase it with the tokens. If we have to get the game via tokens can we order a full cd version, with all the trimmings? If the game will not be made available as an upgrade via SDC then i will need to pre-order it now to get the extras. Thanks
Thanks guys
Question for all you testers I have now just started to play the beta and have a question about population caps on planets. How do i know when the population has 'maxed-out' on a planet and i need to build improvements? Is there somplace in the game that tells me where please.

Hi Is there a way to get Objectdock to close whilst a program is running and then auto-restart once the program is closed? I ask as a couple of my programs seem to run very slowly with Objectdock running, but as i love the docks i dont want to have to manualy close them each time, esp seen as the programs launch from one of my docks. Thanks DG

Galciv II Fansites With the website here still under construction i feel it would be a good idea for the time being to add this section for members to add there respective fansite's/forum links.
