So if I preorder...

As many of you may or may not know, my computer, to be very technical, is a PoS. My friend, who lives down the street, has a computer that could play demigod. Could I log on to my Impule account there, and install it there? And what if it turns out my computer DOES play it (lowest settings obviously), is Stardock still cool with having installed on more than one PC for lan games (yay hamachi).

 

If I preorder I'm doing it tomorrow.

Stardock games are generally able to be registered on 2 computers.

Good question..

 

Steam would let you do it, but Steam is DRM itself and will only allow one person logged in at a time.  Impulse isn't DRM like how steam is.. Maybe there is an unactivate on it though?

In my opinion Steam is gay. I was just wondering if the Demigod beta was like Sins (more than one install, and they can play over LAN).

It probably is. Impulse is stardock's show, so they should be setting the restrictions.

Hasn't been announced one way or t'other, but I'd say it's a safe bet.

Market Basket = chain super market (not that big of a chain I guess if you haven't heard of it. We have Shawes and Shop n' Spend and Hannafords too, but thats the closest one).

 

As far as a hamachi game, I'd love to but I have not idea if Kiernyc AND I would be able to play the same game (if demigod fails 100% on my computer I'm installing it on his, and if it works on my computer I'll try to install it on his too for LAN. He should buy his own copy at release/the internet beta if he likes the game).

 

Lol idea for a mod: Primarch = the demigod. Space Marines = the units!!!

same im trying to get my cousin into the game since he pre-ordered it for me with his credit-card i just had to pay him with cash (off-topic)

it would be nice to install on 2 computers with 1 key that way he doesnt rip me off and not sending me the key when it comes and me not being able to do anything since he lives 4 hours by flight away

I think you can still install on limitless computers, you just can't play lan with more than 2 per serial and internet with more than 1 per serial. Also it's stardock who sends you the key if he did everything right (filled it out as a gift for you, in which case you'll have recieved an email that he got it for you as a gift.

So never mind. Demigod doesn't even launch. It says hardware base instancing required (no idea what that means). And it tells me to make sure my drivers are up to date. They are. I think its just my card but it could just come right out and say that... Guess I'll have to play this on Kiernyc's computer

What video card do you have? I seem to remember that the GeForce 5 series doesn't support that.

Free version FTW! I can still take 30 second videos, and given the mail size limit on my accounts, that's more than enough. I got a meh video, but I'm waiting till I get the really flashy abilities to take a smaller one so you can actually get it.

Turns out it doesn't work on Kiernyc's computer either (well it does at 1 FPS, which is weird and you could see the buildings through the fog of war, the menu worked fine but whatever)

Settings on lowest. He has a gig a ram and a ATI X300 or X500. Either way its a 256MB card (better than mine). So whatever... even if I apply this weekend it will take me a few months to get a new computer (I need like $800, if the card is 200, mobo is 200, processor is 200, and other stuff is 200. I have 200 already... so I could buy a graphics card and thats it).

Well first I need a job (applying tomorrow I think) and then it would take a couple months of work after that. That $200 I appearently have had in my bank account from one of my birthdays... but I don't ever remember once asking for my mom to put my birthday money in the bank.
