After the last Demigod update, it seems that the game no longer wants to run on my computer. I uninstalled, verified installation, rebooted my computer, but nothing works. I went straight to the .exe and tried to run it and it still doesn't start up. I watched my task manager (WinXP obviously) and it seems like the Demigod process starts for half a second but then instantly shuts down. I've tried shutting down all other non-essential processes but Demigod still refuses to start.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
uninstall your Logitech webcam drivers.
failing that, copy-paste the following to any address bar;
and delete the \Forge\ and \Demigod\ folders.
that's the start, see if that helps.
Yup, uninstalling logitech webcam drivers did it.
Edit: Wow, this has been known since September? Hope it actually gets fixed soon...
this has been known for as long as those drivers existed (several years); it's actually a fault/incompatibiliy issue of Logitech's.
if you can, install the drivers without any fancy colour filters and such; IINM the common consensus is that those are the culprit and the drivers work fine.
