[netcode] i have updated my router firmware. I have forwarded ports. I have changed the nat port settings in impulsereactor options.exe. I have bipassed my router and connected to my modem. I have removed all firewalls including windows firewall. I have even go as far as opening my internet conection completely to everything and I cannot connect to a single game. When I host people only see there names but not my name, and when I join a game i dont see any names listed under player name. I never had this issue till the pantheon was added.
I have worked on this issue with him and have had no luck, hoping someone has a suggestion as this was his christmas present from me.
Thanks again for the game... I remember playing a bit over a month ago. I love the game but I hate playing with AI only:(
that sucks guys :/
Your best bet is always going to be trying to find Cari_Elf on IRC daytimes and weekdays. She is constructing the network code and can hopefully help you out.
are you able to join game without the router?
If not it may be something related to your computer.
If its routerbase. I know a bit your dir-655. Normally it should work with firmware 1.11
Try to hard reset it. (its more than just factory default)
Turning off your antivirus during play really helps (at least for me). Currently I use Avast, and disabling the Network Shield portion of that improves connection tremendously. Disabling the rest helps only a little more. I know nearly nothing about the technicals of netcodes or connections, so have no idea whats going on there. Just an observation.
