I've decided not to play this game until it work properly. So far I rate 5/10 and wow the option u can do with this game... totaly limited.
Dota was soo much fun even the graphic is not that bad. In Dota when ur bored of it u can actually play other mods that is why its soo fun. in this game wow what? we have 2 type of shops and favor items... n they suck. not to mention the towers are gay.
the playable character generals are not really RPS.... U just control small units. the assasins are blehh u control him u kill creeps n then what? u go back to lvl 1. FAIL! N god why do why the maps are only 8.... there is no story in the game.. basically u just play t'il ur bored, then u buy other games and bored I mean by a week and ur dead bored...
I think game that is soo highly anticipated like spore but in the end once u buy it and play it u just get bored... the only game that I really like was GUILDWAR, but it's not perfect because the characters are too stiff looking and it doesn't have cool looking skill effect. 2moons was alot better then guildwar but it was a grindfest game u grind t'ill ur old and jobless living in ur mother basement.
honestly nothing special about this game... right now I'm just dissapointed on the multiplayer issues and how small of an option u can play in this game ...... basically what u do is " YOU CHOOSE A CHARACTER YOU JOIN THE GAME YOU KILL CREEPS AND WHEN UR HIGH LEVE U START 5 hitting towers and then u kill other DG"........ U WIN OR YOU LOSE YOU GO BACK TO MAIN MENU AND U JOIN ANOTHER GAME AND U REPEAT THE SAME PROCESS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN T'ILL U GROW CALOUSES ON UR HAND. SOUNDS FUN.
BUT ALL IN ALL ITS AN ADDICTING GAME and I have to give it to the artist of the game the graphic is well made but the option and the all in all game action is poop there is no plot, it's just a COPY OF DOTA!
Actually I'd like to thank you for the Demigod team to make such a fast updates on the game. You guys are a really hard workers but the thing is this game is just not my type of a genre. GREAT EFFORT DEMIGOD TEAM!
My brain hurts just reading that, let alone deciphering it. Basically the length of the horrible write-up is that "this game is a copy of DotA", the gameplay isn't good (again, only what I'm reading), and something about liking other games which don't even relate to the genre.
Guildwars and 2Moons are MMOs, so um..ya, if that's your thing then good for you. However, this game is an RTS/RPG hybrid game that has absolutely no relation to those games and I'm unsure as to why they're brought up.
DotA is a mod of a game in which other mods can be played, I'll give you that, however that is not because of DotA at all but instead the breeding of Warcraft III. That kind of analogy can be brought against Left 4 Dead and Zombie Panic (the latter being a mod of the Source engine games, mostly Half-Life 2). Left 4 Dead is an officially supported, highly developed game; Demigod is in the same suit of being officially supported.
The comparisons between DotA and Demigod are very hollow and need to stop. The "mod" is well over 5 years old, has dated graphics, only one map, each has only 4 abilites, and as far as I've heard is that most the Heroes are copies of only 3-6 of them; the "game" has 8 maps so far, 8 unique Demigods, more than 6 abilities each, and top notch graphics (and sound).
But, it's all non-matter as to personal taste and choice: If you like one game more than the other, play that game (that is, unless you're one of those "try before you buy" pirates. That means you've got an obligation to not only purchase the game, but also turn yourself into the authorities.)
