Impulse is pretty obviously trying to be the next steam. It has some of the nice features of steam, including D2D, friend's list, freeware, and what have you.
However, what it doesn't have is some of the functionality. In Steam, you could invite your friends to join a game, or intrude on a game already going on via your friends.
Impulse, and by extension, this game, has a friends list but no real point to it. You cannot make a custom match and invite your friend with an easy to click invitation.
Also, Demigod has no clan support. There is no lobby in multiplayer, and no channels to join (ala Warcraft), which is almost on the verge of sacralige in a game based off a mod that has so much community zeal to it. The effect is the player feels very cut-off and individual when playing this game.
Although this is perfectly fine for the "casual" gamer, but this isn't a casual type of game. The community SHOULD be interconnected, there should be "gangs" of players who fight each other in clan matches, and Demigod ought to support it.
