All AIs in multiplayer

problem with beta patch?

Since I downloaded the beta patch, I've noticed that I'm actually getting into 3v3 and 4v4 games instead of just 2v2. The problem is, all of my allies and my opponents are AIs! I had suspicions that this was the case but looking at the pantheon statistics confirms it.

I'm kind of annoyed that the AIs are placed there silently. It seems if everyone but me dropped, I should get an error message so I can diagnose the problem. The game shouldn't try to trick me into thinking I'm having a multplayer experience.

Yes; there is no "connection info" dialog in the bottom-right corner of the connection screen before the game starts to show me that all the other players are AIs--I guess there wouldn't have to be, since they are all already connected. . . by not existing in the first place!

Very annoying; without the warning that the game will be 100% AI, I don't have the chance to quit it. Why the hell does the game think I would EVER want a 100% AI game without at least TRYING to put a real player in place?

If I was okay with bot games, I'd go play the single player =/ At least I could edit the game files to give myself favor pts there
