Alright, sorry for my vague post earlier; was a little busy and wanted some responses asap.
But some of the idea's I like most about that particular map are:
-There are more than two directions where the armies travel
-There are many different "heroes" to choose from and you can change which one you control mid-game (although I know Demigod will never have that feature, perhaps some kind of upgrades that can increase the skill-tree and level cap where you can choose one of several skill paths to go down but cannot rechoose if you dislike your choice)
-The AI are surprisingly intelligent
-There are many unique items which can also be upgraded (although buying new items of the same type may be more worth the money, upgrading them can help with inventory space and a quick damage bonus rather than needing to go back to the shop to buy a new item)
-There are basic environment bonuses/handicaps, like elevated terrain and vision empairment
-You can actually buy unique items that can make a small forward base (for smaller maps this wouldn't be effective, but for any future larger maps it can be advantagous)
Well those are the things I enjoy about the map the most. And regarding ZebraFox's post... it may be a War3 map, but it was a custom map with a couple of people's unique (and some taken) idea's. So it wouldn't be taking idea's from War3, but rather using idea's from people who decided to express their imagination via War3. It's actually growing to be a sophisticated map...
Another feature that I would like to see is in the maps. Simply put, I would like some detail in them, like tree's, mountains, ruins, etc. I just find it a little boring without some detail. I hope that the Demigod team is already considering these features.
I do enjoy the game quite a bit. The only reason I bought the game is because it is from Stardock and they are a great company who actually listens to their fans. I know they are doing their best and if none of the features I listed in this topic can be implemented, I know it's because they don't have the time and are more than likely working on even better features.
