Demigod: Harratep (General)
Summary: A support Demigod, Harratep vastly increases allied mana regeneration, instead of healing. With the ability to get rid of nasty effects like the Torchbearers ice debuffs and the Unclean Beast's savage DoTs, he can keep an ally in the battle nearly as well as Sedna. What he lacks in healing, however, he more than makes up for in the ability to allow his team tou use their skills more freely. He must beware, however, for he is slow, and without support, can easily be swamped. A Harratep player must be deft with the use of his crocodiles to shield him from harm.
This is in response to the thread requesting an Egyptian themed Demigod. I think most people are looking for one that deals with the Egyptian preoccupation with death. However, we already have Oak to bring back dead spirits. I thought I'd work with the other supremely important aspect of Egyptian culture: The river. I also like to tell stories in interesting ways, so I made this one a poem. I just sat and wrote it, so it's not too polished, but I'm happy with it.
From twixt her loins
Queen Hartia-Nap,
eternal River,
bore a son
to her people joined.
Harratep, son
of river and sky.
He bringeth the green
of plenty
to defy the dark one.
The locust-pope,
slayer of peoples.
Who bringeth kings low,
all hating,
the consumer of hopes.
So came He down
from the high places
to face 'cross River
Harratep,
unafraid, and unbowed.
Upon river-son
fell black locust-cloud,
suffocating death
seemed certain.
The black plague-man had won.
Or so he assumed...
Rose then River!
Sweet water washing
the black cloud away.
Harratep
then spoke to the water.
Then crocodile,
sister to River,
did send her six sons,
fierce, and brave,
to aid her sister's child.
Black Pope of Plague,
faced by such vigor,
attempted to run.
Crocodile
lent him no such mercy.
Marked by the sun,
blessed by the water,
Harratep did catch,
with sorrow,
Then drowned the cursed one.
So Harratep,
did vanquish evil
and thrice blessed he ruled
until called
from this world to the next.
Appearance: Bald, dark skin the color of river-mud. Rich, short open robe of gold and turquoise, and matching Egyptian-style kilt. Stands on a raft borne by a moving tide of water, wielding an ornate staff.
Strengths: Many mana buffs and indirect assisting spells.
Powerful minions that aid ally mana regeneration.
Weaknesses: Slow moving
Lack of burst damage.
Abilities:
Sons of Crocodile: Summons Crocodile minions. Crocodiles are slow, with moderate damage but are very tough. At max level summons 3 crocodiles, maximum of 6. Sons of Crocodile II and V also give crocodiles mana regen aura. (doesn't stack with itself.)
Blessing of the Sun: Toggle: A blazing ball of light apears over Harratep's head that slowly drains his health, but increases all mana regeneration of him and nearby allies by 10/15/20/25%.
Wash Away Ills: Targets on ally. A torrent of cleansing water flows around the target. All allies within 30 feet of the target have any negative status effects removed and gain +20/30/40% health and mana regen for 10 seconds. All enemies in the same area of effect take 150/300/450 damage.
Drowning: A large orb of water apears on targeted location. Enemies in the orb are slowed by 10/20/30% and tanke 20/40/80 damage per second.
Inexorable Current: Aura. A wellspring of water beneath his raft spreads outwards, continuously pushing his enemies away from him. Current pushes farther with successive levels. Current is slow enough that enemies moving towards Harratep still reach him. All nearby allies gain 200/400/600 armor.
Sisters of River: Crocodiles gain a knockback attack. All non-demigods next to their targets are knocked back and stunned for 0.5 seconds. Demigods have a 5% chance to be stunned for 1 second. Also increases Crocodile and minion armor by 200/300/400/500. Final point increases their attack speed 15%.
Clense the Spirit: Wash Away Ills also imediately grants the target 500 mana.
Strength Through Hardship: Nearby allies who fall below 50% health gain 50% mana regen for 10 seconds.
