I have been finding lately that I am having troubles finding a balance between damage related items and defence based. When I play something against classes like UB, TB, Regulus - where they can take a ton of HP off me very quickly, my answer is usually stacking HP through items. I find by getting as much HP as possible can really negate their nastier attacks, particularly if they're going in for a gangbang. I worry though that too much HP is reducing my own effectiveness in regards to damaging them. I don't want to be constantly soaking up damage then having to retreat while they come off better from a fight.
What is a good balance? What do you guys do when against these classes that dish out rapid hurties? I play a range of classes, from Rook to UB to Torchbearer and while the range of TB is definitely easier to stay back from say an enemy UB/Oak/Sedna/Ed, playing something like Rook/UB means you're having to get in there and dirty and if you dont have sufficient HP you're toast. Alternatively, if you have too much HP it can be very difficult to take down towers if you dont have a high enough damage output.
What kind of things do you do to counter this kind of enemy? Enemies who can spike damage - or like UB's spit, a dangerously high AOE.
