Stuns not equal?

Why are mob stunds not equal? in what they effect?

I know for fact..that as Oak if I cast pentitance on anoher oak who is shieled..it has no effect..yet if erebus fire off his stun, oak is effected..

Why is this? is this bug? or is it by design that oaks stun is less effective? (not to mention erebus's stun is also AOE, rather then directional).

food for thought...not that I'm saying one is overpowered or ..such..certainly not..all our gods are balanced.

for one.. penitence or whatever its called is a ranged skill with more then 1 function...

Its a interupt not a stun, it does damage, it slows the other player and i believe it also removes some armor. quite a nice list.

While erebus' skill is an actuall stun. it stuns everybody, making them unable to take any action for what ? 3 seconds at max rank or something... Its only at lvl 15 that it gets a cooldown increaser on top of it

So sure, his skill is AOE, but all it does is stun, while oaks skill is a whole bunch of things in one, and not a stun but an interupt.\\

Sure.. this doesnt automaticly mean it is working as intended... I dont even know if erebus stun works while shielded personally.. but this hsould be some food for thought

Penitence increases the damage enemy demigods take from all sources this boosts spell dmg from allies as well and not just AA. Second Erebus 3 sec stun is at lvl 10 lvl 15 it adds some kind of cooldown effect to every dg it hits something like that.

So you're saying that Oak stunning interuppting a shielded Oak doesn't work, but an Erebus stunning a shielded Oak DOES work?

[/quote]Penitence isnt a stun but yea im pretty sure if you stun somebody (before getting the max shield) that theyll be stuck there or at least be interupted.

Last I heard, levels 1 and 2 of Shield remove existing debuffs, but don't make the player immune to new debuffs (i.e. stun, interrupt, spit). Levels 3 and 4 of Shield make the player immune to all debuffs for the duration. I'm not sure if Penetance works as an interrupt against a level 1 or 2 Shield, nor have I checked to see if the vamp stun works against a level 3 or 4 shield.

Correct that is exactly what I'm saying, and this may be as intended, as Ceeshond points out..Oak's Penitance should not be thought of as a stun as it has lot of other side effects. Its just needs to be noted that shield is not 100% immunity, as Erebus's stun will go right through Oak's shield lvl 3, where as pentitance will have no effect/interupt on another Oak's shield lvl 3. Is this a bug..as designed..I have no idea..

note: I am talking about oak shield level 3 (erebus's stun will interupt/stun oak) even at shield level 3.

I.e. I recently learned that I could use shield lvl 3 + port and be 100% safe...unfortunely thats not the case with erebus around.
