When u see someone take erebus and go perma-mist half the game, and that player has about 100-150 games or so, u would change your mind about that.
Also; erebus is NOT OP, as some people would like to think that he is.
If someone is perma-misting in a serious game with 100 games they need to figure something out that someone had told them. He's easy to copy someone elses stategy and use it easily. It's hard to copy hammer rook for example because it's not just ability spam. It's more you need the feel and strategy not just the technical crap and fast fingers.
I would definitely say Regulus is the easiest character to pick up on. Snipe and high damage range. What else could a n00b want?
I would definitely say Erebus is harder to play now that he has been nerfed. Before, you could pretty much pick any skills (all of them use to be god-like) and just play. Now, you kinda need to have a build. Erebus is hard to track down, but once you get him, he is kinda squishy.
Regulus has mines. You place them do too much damage for it's level. Thats what a noob needs. An easy to use ability that when coupled with snipe is so strong. This is what started the health stacking hole we have fallen into. Mines need an activation time. Something around 1.5 seconds. Not as soon as it hits the ground. By the time the regulus animation is even noticable the mines are already in the air and you have about 3/4th of a second to react and about a third to half that time is latency so you better be clicking really fast to get out of there.
Erebus wasn't really nerfed. The minion fix made him far stronger minion wise than any other general and 175 damage off a level 10 ability with the debuff slightly reduced. That wasn't much of a nerf. They just toned down bite because it ate everyone alive. But the minion fix more than made up for it. Batswarm and bite and mist make up for his squishiness
no all the noobs pick UB i cant tell you how many times people have yelled at me to switch off UB whoes my main so there arent any doubles then the beast on our team starts the game off with around 5 deaths and no kills.......
Thats because noobs watch as UB's at the end of a game demolish 2 to 3 enemy Demigods on their own. Thats because Beast expands to the items he has instead of someone like torchbearer who kinda just stops gaining power at level 15 or so. UB has a limit of all the artifacts and artifact consumables. Far more potential. It's just those noobs don't know how to play UB. Then they all go to reg and maul that UB because they laid 6 mines and then laid 3 more just as those blew up at level 7 thats over 3600 damage within 2 seconds or so. That isn't skill thats lack of ability to counter/destroy mines.
Noobs pick regulus and erebus just because they are easy to get the hand of. Most regulus players then switch to other demigods while the erebus players normally move onto playing UB or someone who requires a little more of a feel of the game to play decently. I'm just saying that noobs play erebus like good people play rook. The gap between expert and noob is smaller on him and regulus. Rook for example has a giant swathe of players form amazing to simply horrid.
