well it is super-useful late game since it gives you an extra consumable slot... Wand of Speed or Orb of Defiance (+500 HP and Armor) makes it marginally better than Blood while also giving the 5 seconds of invulnerability (nice if you 1v1 and they sigil since you burn a quarter of a sigil's duration for 'free'). I dunno if you would "even if" use 10 scrolls. It's more like "when". I tend to buy 2 ports every second shop, 3 every one after that. And I'm /pretty sure/ I shop at least 4 times a game though not much more than that. Once at WS3 for Currency (no ports then), one time around level 8-9, once for catapults then defending portals or buying more sigils etc etc

It's nice if you are currency bitch since you are already gimped in terms of $ (though Blood is typically best for currency bitch).

That said, the only time I would seriously consider getting amulet is if there is a tower rook on my team. Having a port beginning with level 1 is nice. Also remember that it does help you maximize your levels since you only ever have to walk one way to base. Etc Etc.

That said, it is quite a weak favor item early game. Keep that in mind. Anyone with BotF will rape your face until the ganking/farming/teleporting manages to pay itself off.

I also don't like how the cooldown is longer than that of a scroll.  Lame.

@ Orion - Why would you buy both TP scrolls and use Amulet? I'm not sure about in v1.2 (I haven't used it in a while), but prior to that using one or the other would set the cooldown timer going for both items. Seems pointless to buy the TP scrolls with Amulet.

Also, the only early game usefulness with Amulet I've seen is on QoT or Sedna in a minimum 3v3 game where they can bounce back and forth to easily support multiple lanes.

Oh, and you asked how well would it work on the demon assassin? Quite terribly I think. He's too squishy and mana dependent to worry about mobility. He should get something that corrects his problems like blood of the fallen or essence of magic. Or blood of the fallen. Oh hey, what about blood of the fallen. The only demigod that really could use it is the rook because he should need a lot of teleports so he doesn't have to walk around a lot. I still think it's a crappy favor item.  It will save you about as much money as the coin purse with the benefit of an extra consumable slot, though it is on a longer cooldown.

Yeeah the amulet should do something totally different.

Just tossing it out there:

What if it had half the range of snipe (or whatever range) and it was a warp to location. Still has a cast time and still leaves the teleport alert, but it would make it work differently then the scrolls and would be a hell of a lot more useful.

He could just walk up anyway. He's Oak. This just saves him some time.

i use amulet of TP when im oak on leviathan.

simply because oak is weak early game, this allows me to be the flag whore at first without wasting all that cash.

and teleporting in to pwn with penitence is just too good to pass up.  im not down with all this hating on the tp ammy.

The gameplay is kind of unsatisfying in regards to favor. In the beginning of the game health is the only thing that really matters. mana is important too, but there are no decent mana items other than BotS, and even so 800 health and regen is just too good. The beginning of the game is so important too, generally whichever team backs up first loses because their towers take a beating or they can't recapture the all important health flag. I swear, when I see 2 of my teammates to the mana flag I just want to hit the concede button right off the bat.
