Tome of Endurance deactivated?

This is a bad item, so it doesn't surprise me nobody has ever noticed this.... but...

It seems it can be deactivated. The Icon in your favor slot turns Grey, and you lose the hit point bonus. Then it turns back on later.

What event would/could cause this?

Late night coding.

 

To balance it, make it a 5 hp/s aura, now it doesn't suck so bad.

Didn't touch it, I was just testing how it worked stacking all the minion HP items. Then, some enemy AI did something, and it greyed out and I was down 400 max HP in the pool.

It un-greyed a few seconds later, and I got the HP back.

No idea. I looked into the code but couldn't find anything obvious. If you have more details that would help.

OK, I will play with it some more. How to do demigod logging? Is there a post somewhere in this forum that mentions it?

I'm not aware of any way that a non-OnClick item with passive bonuses could ever be disabled.  Are you sure you weren't running another mod that might have done something with abilities?

I know that BotF does the same thing... trying to remember what causes it. Oh. I think it's when you select minions!

Hmm, you are right... I guess I am crazy, was probably health flag cap that made it look like health had gone down, and then came back. But, definitely grayed out when only minions are selected.
