or, you can download the old driver from here http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl173863/Intel_Cs330.htm and try running it in compatiblity mode. I also found this in regards to the older driver, but it didn't work for everyone.

 you can set the program to run in Windows Vista compatibility mode and it WILL work. To do this: 1) Download the driver utility (CS330.exe in this case) to your desktop. Note: I used the CS330 driver for Windows XP and am running 64 bit Windows 7 on my computer. 2) Right click on the icon and select "Restore Previous Versions" 3) Select the "Compatibility" tab. 4) Check the box for "Compatibility Mode" and select "Windows Vista (Service pack 2) from the drop-down menu. 5) Click "Apply" and then "Ok" 6) Reboot your computer and click on the icon to install. Follow instructions given on the screen.

I went ahead and dl'd the driver from that site and scanned it with ASC Pro with AV which uses BitDefender, and with Malwarebytes and it came up clean. Download and scan it with what you use. Nothing to lose if it comes up clean, give it a try.

If you try to opt out of these 'bundled' items, it greys out the driver download button. So DON"T GO to this site. Not sure why Wiz1956 recommend that site.

I went there. I downloaded the driver.

No toolbar or home page change offered/needed.

 

I'm guessing you clicked the big green download button. Don't do that.

 

Above the green download button (the left one), there are 3 links. Those will download without all the crap you say it does.

Yes, Wizard1956, I did get them, I downloaded both drop box contents. Thank you again. I'm sorry about the earlier comment - I probably did hit the larger button. I'm not accustomed to the deluge of data so many web sites display. In response to my error I researched a bit about why these 'bundles' are in there, and why sites will have a small button (or very hard to see link) that relates to the search thread link, but larger buttons that grab ones attention. I think its all about driving hits to another site - and somehow that generates revenue? Bait and switch - how I hate 'marketing,' (deception?) lol. Thank you for hanging in there with me on the driver.

You and I and millions of others, yet the culprits continue to do it.  Like Wiz said, the bright and colourful download links to crapware intend to be misleading so as to trick users into downloading stuff they neither want or need. 

Oh, and don't go kicking yourself over clicking the wrong download button... I was fooled by those bright green ones a couple of times... then it dawned on me that the proper ones were smaller/less bright.

Nah, it makes everything sticky.

And I know what you mean about feeling embarrassed about clicking the scam link. I was by myself and nobody knew... but I still went bright red.
