Greetings. I have a ticket logged with Stardock Support and I am waiting for a response. In the meantime I was going to see if anyone here had the similar message/crash I am experiencing, and if so, how were you able to fix it?
I purchased through Steam, got through the tutorial without an error, created a custom Sovereign without error and played the game for < 1 hour with large random map until I got a window pop up saying "Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes has stopped working..." It simply stops responding and I have to click cancel to close the application. I clicked debug to see what the error message was and IIRC the words "Unhandled Exception" and "win32" were mentioned. I don't have it in front of me right now so I cannot say for certain exactly what it said.
Here's a typical scenario:
I have an hour or so to play so I load up a game. Starts out great. Stable for about 15-20 mins. Then I get the error. I quit. I restart the game/reload. Play for a few mins. Error. Quit. Repeat. The point is it seems after I haven't been playing for a little bit and restart my PC it is a bit more stable (but not much, I wouldn't call 15-20 mins before crash stable) and after the first error it just seems to become really unstable, as in Errors every 2-3 mins.
There is nothing that seems to trigger it that I can see. It happens at various times during various events and they are not always repeatable so unpredictable to me. One time I got up to get a beverage, came back and saw the error so I know I didn't click/do anything there.Sometimes I make it through a battle and sometimes I have to reload several times before getting through an error free battle.
My final point is this: I think this has the potential to be a very fun game. I have been looking and looking for a new 4x game and I was looking at Warlock, this game, and Age of Magic II. When I saw Steam have a sale I pulled the trigger and got this one. I put time, thought, and money into this decision and I don't want to regret it. Any advice/help would be appreciated.
