That thread became a lot funnier now that this is actually the reason for his current overtune, lol
but of they put it back to 1 i feel it wil be underpowerd lol
It's not. A Mauler can still rush a Nemesis or a group of Artemsis's and kill them.
I just played a ranked match as PHC and holy f**k, this substrate dude annihilated me with a small army of maulers. The guy didn't even need anything else to kill my army of zeus and artemis's, i was boned b4 i knew it... I just hope they tone down the damage output of the mauler a little bit, or is there a counter to them that I haven't figured out yet?
it is nothing you can do. you can skip artemis and go full nemesis with zeus but it;s pretty bad. if you are outnumbered and lose a single battle without having a sentinel turret to fall on you die. it's pretty punishing. Or you can walk with artemis and zeus into a drone tower and lose the game. even though muffin will tell you that you can scout with air drone, you will send an air drone and commit some brutes with artemis and all the while you are doing this, substrate will focus you with 4 maulers and kill you.so that is pretty much it.
You need archers to counter substrate T2 spam.
Thanks, I'll try to spam archers next time but usually by mid game my T1 units are usually inefficient in terms of hurting T2 units. Though I don't spam archers as much as I do T2 units.
Anyways, thanks guys, I appreciate it!!!!!
Maulers get demolished by Archers with a screen of Brutes.
Maulers are the COUNTER to the Artemis.
