Few Ideas To Spice Things Up

When playing the game it felt like a pretty watered down low action, short encounter version of a AoS map.

The heros need to do a bit less damage because at the moment they can kill eachother with very little effort. If you weaken some of these spells that pretty much take away half a players life sometimes even instanly killing certain heros it would increase fight times drasticaly. One of my ideas would be giving each hero some sort of Ultimate/Super Spell to work towards with some kind of cool effect that would be as strong as some of these current spells at the later levels.

Another idea would be to beef up some of these items giving them some kind of cool effect other than "Oh wow i have more life". The items are pretty tame for a game like these. Items should be hero changing and different variations and combonations of items will change how a hero can be played. If th items just kinda increase stats its like playing the same hero every single game and that can get boring fast. If i had some choice in the matter of how this hero would go into battle based on what he is equipped with it would increase the replay factor by a lot.

I agree wholeheartedly that the items should at least get a unique effect based on the hero. The helmets are almost only useful for the torchbearer, and they should be good for all of them. I think the item store will be spruced up for later betas, though.

I think 1/3rd your items availible should be unique to your Demigod.

The shared items items should be a unique effect to your Demigod because of how that Demigod plays, and the skills it has (+damage items, +% damage rook skill = more + damage from that item, essentially) not because of artificial things.

I don't like artificial things.

Balance is something that'll be worked on later.  What if damage needs to be increased later because of other changes to gameplay?

Absolutely. The problem we have now is that some items are damn near useless to some demis. They should be usable for all of them, and I agree that it could be easily accomplished without artificiality, which would be good.
