to the demigod crew

"Brad Wardell: That's the one most of our developers are on. It's pretty far along, it's actually been in development for a while. We have two people working on Demigod right now, actually three if you count network. But the rest of the development team is on the fantasy strategy game."

good job to the two, maybe three, of you!

That's Stardock people. GPG has a bunch more working on it.

No!  Make Rook the smallest unit!

I'm somewhat confused. I believed that Gas Powered Games was developing Demigod ... in collaboration with Stardock. Consequently, if you add the GPG devs, there are more than 2 or 3 people working on Demigod on the moment. Brad Wardell's quote must designate the Stardock side of the Demigod development & production process ... but unless I am wrong, the main design & development effort comes from GPG. (And I don't think that the latter are involved in the Stardock, in-house effort to create a fantasy strategy game.)

"Fantasy strategy game." :inlove: :smitten:   I've played thousands of hours of all the Heroes of Might & Magic games : I can't wait.

When will I be able to pre-order its beta (using my dad's credit card) ?

lol, beta is already happening

you could pre-order months ago

End of quote

Correct. GPG has an entire team doing the bulk of the work.

X(   That's such a mean joke !

I think Kyrein misunderstood and thought you meant Demigod's Beta, Sorceresss.  Not-MOM shouldn't be available for pre-order any time soon.

If so, he sure didn't read my post carefully. But his "lol" made me think he was joking that the fantasy-strategy game's beta was already in progress.

By the way, you call it "MoM", which means Master of Magic (released in 1994). I was a 7-year old little girl, then. My dad taught me how to play that DOS game : it was soooooo much more fun than the Supernintendo Zelda !

A year later, at the end of 1995, my dad showed me how to play the original DOS version of HM&M 1.

I do not know in what measure Stardock will imitate MoM, but based on their exxxxcellent track record with GalCiv 2 and all its sequels (which my dad bought), we're in for a top-notch A.I.

I love HM&M 5 a lot ... but the A.I. competitors are so dumb (for an experienced HM&M player). I was playing Tribes of the East version 3.1, in August, before switching to the Demigod beta.

I have very, very high hopes for Stardock's upcoming fantasy-strategy game : it's my favourite genre. I'm also interested in Disciples 3.

Thxxx for your comment, Ke5trel
