-Crash- I cant get past the game lobby

I recently downloaded the beta and I cannot get past the game lobby. The game always crashes right after i choose a hero or select auto fill slots. Also waiting around in the game lobby for longer than 10 seconds causes a crash. I have tried to go and run the game quickly but then the game crashes while in the loading screen. Every other part works as far as the menu goes. I have not been able to play a single game since i downloaded Demigod. Does anyone else have this problem or at least a solution?

hmm.

this sounds much like the errors people with SM2.0 model graphics cards had a little while ago.

may we ask what, specifically, are your GPU, OS, and driver versions?

Im running:
Windows XP(SP3)
nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ with updated drivers as of Jan 22
AMD X2 Dual 6000+ 3.0Ghz

ah. well, yes, your computer is up to the task.

the DG beta should still be making log files all the time. it think it'll be wise to find said log, upload it to pastebin.com, and post a link here for the devs. to look at.

we'll also take a stab at it, and if we see any tell-tale signs of anything there'll probably be an answer.

I have uploaded and posted the dxdiag file here.

Are there any other files i should be posting up or anything i should be doing to make the process go smoother? this is my first time beta-ing a game so any advice would be helpful.

hmmz. just had a quick skim through the DXDiag report, and nothing sticks out.

what you should do now (the developers may find this the most helpful) is to change your DG shortcuts like so enable logging;

[code]...\bin\Demigod.exe" /log C:\DamnLog.txt[/code]

do your stuff as normal, and then you should find the log in the root of the C:\ drive. whack that up of pastebin.com and then we'll get to business.

I ran the game twice (getting the same crash result). Once the game crashed when i was in the hero selection screen. The log for that file is found here. The other crash happend when the map was loading. The log for that instance can be found here. I have continued to play with my drivers and the graphics setting and yet no combination of trial and error has given me a game thus far.

An outdated cached file located here seemed to be the issue:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\

For any others that may be having the exact same issue delete the files located in that folder (Replace USER with your appropriate user account).
