[BUG] Erebus NightCrawlers AWOL

initially hurrah, later no-show

Missing Erebus NightCrawlers

Erebus initially generates NightCrawler minions, but later (at least in the game I played, pumping the NightCrawler abilities up both by 2 tiers) they stopped getting summoned. I wound up pretty handicapped.

On the fiery map (Mine I believe).

Same thing for me. It's not depending of the map.

The evolution to have the bug is something like (not sure but it happens on each game I played):

Improved conversion aura 2

coven 1 or 2 (not sure)

Confirmed on my first test of Erebus.  I'll play a few vs AI to see if I can figure out where it breaks.

 

Edit:  Yeah, it broke as soon as I got rank 1 of Improved Conversion Aura.  I hadn't even picked up Coven yet.

If you get further ranks it seems to be fixed; with max improved conversion aura and maxed coven was getting plenty of nightcrawlers

I have some further observations on this.  Nightcrawler summoning breaks every time you advance Improved Conversion Aura, and is fixed every time you advance Coven.  As a workaround, put points to them in pairs, clicking ICA first and Coven after that.  If you take the last level in Coven and then max ICA, you're screwed for the rest of the game.

My guess is that Improved Conversion Aura somehow sets the max amount of Nightcrawlers to zero.

yea i found aura was problem as well

I've found (at least) two different spots were the Nightcrawlers can't appear. One is when Coven is 0 or 1 and Conversion in >0. This goes away once you get to Coven II, but reapears when both Coven and Conversion are III. I haven't tried testing every single combination, but there are intermediate spots where it does work. And yeah, it does kinda cripple him just a bit.
