When Demigod is working it's the best damn RTS type game I've ever played. It's amazingly fun. Having played Dawn of War 2, going and playing a good game of Demigod multiplayer is an absolute blast!

BUT...

The actual online experience is absolute garbage right now. WHEN I can get into a game, which is hit or miss, the odds of me being able to actually complete a game is maybe 1 in 10 because somebody gets bumped off. I just don't buy that people are losing internet connections this common. I don't get that in my other games. AND....even if somebody is disconnecting I end up with the f*cking eject dialog where I am given almost not clue as to what I'm supposed to do and have to eject everybody in order to get the game going.

The in game connection unreliability is much worse for me than the getting games set up problem. It may sometimes be a pain to get a game going but I never have any real problems getting a game going. Completing the game is the problem.

If Gas Powered Games can't get their in game net code to work, this game will be a dismal failure and deservedly. If they can make it robust and reliable then I predict Demigod will set the standard for online strategy gaming for years to come.

Sarcasm is not the same as personal attacks. We reserve the right to ban users for violating our terms of service which includes personal attacks.  That is why we rarely lock threads, we get rid of problem users instead.

I am saying by not banning someone that personally attacks you and instead replying with sarcasm, this implicitly says that  personal attacks will be 'tolerated.'

Brad is a big boy, he can take it.

ImHO all personal attacks on brad that are done in Good Humor should be tolerated, and even applauded in some cases. Clearly, Sayan1337 is a noob-troll and his personal attack amuses no one.

Up-and-coming trolls are encourage to study my personal attacks on brad.

Even done in "good humor" such exchanges are counter productive.  The game is less than a month away.  If there are any issues that still need to be communicated then they need to be done calmly and rationally if you want anyone to listen.

It is not more counter productive that your post commenting on mine. At this point, suggestions aren't really that productive anyway. In fact, any time you ask "teh internet" for its opinion 99% of what you are going to get is completely useless. Having to sort through all the nonsense is an inefficient way to get that useful 1%.

If anyone thinks you can ask for opinions from the playerbase without getting 99% garbage (which includes personal attacks on the devs), then that person deserves to be publically humiliated. I think personal attacks on Brad are appropriate punishment for his foolishness in actually asking us players for our opinion.

Well, ill get right to the point cause well i have to...I am Sayan1337 and prior to me getting my posting access revoked, I only posted 2 posts on this forum, one would be a topic about League of legends and the other one on this very thread so you can imagine how much misleading is done by some Stardock developers...this thread has my second post you beeps...

I'm going to go ahead and lock the thread since it has long stopped being remotely about the original topic.

As for the flames, we don't tend to have a very high tolerance for insulting other people.  Debate the issues, not the people.
