Calling All Experienced Players - Regulus Challenge!

The Regulus Challenge

Can a team of Sniper Regulus consistently beat a mixed team of good players?

This has come up a few times but it seems like we should actually test it.

Who should play - anyone who has experience with Sniper Regulus against good players and anyone who can play a different DG in a team setting against good snipers.

Im up for being a Regulus snipe and if needed can play another DG on the other team :)

I agree this should be tested....been a lot of talk but not much practical testing.

Good luck. I maintain Regulus needs to be made more fragile for his innate gunnery abilities. I have grown to despise playing against this particular character.

I'll love to see this test done, but due to my substandard anti-regulus skills, it will be a slightly biased test if i join O:)

Why couldn't I realize today is not saturday a couple of hours ago? My sleep schedule is whacked as it is.

When yall do this be sure to try the 2 different issues involving an all reg team.

  • where you try to instakill each enemy demigod
  • on small maps just sniping the citadel over and over again while completely ignoring enemy demigods. I saw another post somewhere that calculated that 3 regs with lvl 1 snipe could down a citadel in 3 or 4 min of continuous snipe so the enemy wouldnt be able to reach your base by then even unopposed

Just played a 4TB v. 4Reg and the regs pwned. However, we had to close the match early because someone was lagging the game to unplayable levels.

Yep - planning to try both

Yah that's not gonna show anything.  You basically took a team of the squishiest DG and put him up against multiple snipes..Without support or something to kill TB is toast..

Try it against a team of Rooks or a mixed team ^^

I´ll rook you down! :D

Eh i'd like to test this, being on the non-regulas team.

4 Rooks might have a chance if they can farm up enough xp for their base HP to get crazy.

Maybe Two Sednas with level 1 Priests and Two Rooks all stacking HP would have a chance.  Do multiple healing auras stack?

You could go a totally different angle and make a pushing team that tries to kill the enemy citadel as fast a possible instead of actually trying to kill enemy DGs.  Two Rooks going stats/tower drain and two QoTs going Bramble Shield/whatever the siege move is could potentially cut straight to the citadel.  Rooks would spend gold til they had at least 4k hp and a helmet or two, then the rest of their gold would go to Citadel upgrades, especially creep upgrades.  QoTs would get Level 1 Priests to start, followed by HP to 3-4k , and then possible the max level Siege Archer idols to speed things along.  After that all their money would go into the Citadel as well.

These are just three ideas for teams that could potentially counter 4-Reg.  Note that 4-Reg requires almost no organization or pre-planning, while one of these teams would.
